"My wife was recently at Newcastle Private Hospital for day surgery. We were expecting medications to be provided however Epic Pharmacy did not deliver them by the time she was scheduled to be discharged, so her doctor provided her with a script to pick up medications elsewhere and the nurses advised Epic Pharmacy that the medication was no longer required from them. We received a call from Epic Pharmacy about an hour after we had picked up medication elsewhere and got home. They were calling to ask if we would be collecting the medications from them or if they were no longer required as they had been advised by the nurses. We confirmed we were not collecting them as they failed to deliver them before she was discharged and we live 45 minutes drive away. They confirmed this was all good and they would remove it from their jobs. They have since sent us an invoice for payment of medications that were never provided. We called them and clarified, they confirmed this would be sorted out and if we didn't hear back from them there was no problem. We never heard back from them until now, a week or so since we spoke to them. They are now sending text messages seeking payment for medications that they never provided and with no option to respond. As our entire interaction with this pharmacy has been pretty poor, I can't really give them more than 1 star, so to summarise: -Failed to deliver medications to patient within the hospital before patient discharge. -Failure of communication internally resulting in waste of time and money for everybody. -Ongoing demands for payment for services and products that they didn't provide. -Friendly staff on the phone (if you can ever get through to anyone), but can't say much more than that."
