Welcome to the Science and Engineering Challenge, located at Callaghan, University Drive in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be associated with the University of Newcastle and offer a unique STEM outreach program.

In collaboration with communities, Rotary clubs, universities, and sponsors, the Science and Engineering Challenge aims to inspire and engage students in the fields of science and engineering. We provide opportunities for students to explore aspects of these disciplines that they may not typically encounter in their school environment.

Our programs, in conjunction with SMART (Science, Maths And Real Technology), are designed to ignite curiosity and encourage students to consider a future career in science and engineering. Through hands-on activities and immersive experiences, we aim to nurture a passion for these fields and equip students with the skills they need for success.

To further support and enhance the learning experience, we offer SEC in a BOX activity kits. These kits are perfect for National Science Week in August or can be used at any time of the year. They contain everything you need to run a Challenge Activity with your class, including an instruction video.

At the University of Newcastle, we value and respect the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas, including Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay tribute to the wisdom of our Elders, both past and present.
