Reviews
"Amazing wildlife reserve. Beautifully made up and easily accessible for prams/wheelchairs. Looked like everyone (kids, teenagers and adults) were having fun! Had an amazing day!"
"I would have loved to have given a 5 star rating but unfortunately I unable to. While the park itself as a whole is fantastic, great little wildlife section the kids loved and the toilet and bbq amenities are kept immaculate we were bitterly disappointed that after being sold a small ice cream cone filled with food for the animals there are actually no areas of interaction that the kids can feed the animals other than to drop it through the fence and hope for the best. This is somewhat hard to explain to a 5 year old who just wanted to feed something"
"Much more than what we were expecting. Parking 4$/hour. Reserve free to visit. Went at about 3pm, we didn't see anyone. Was so quiet and calm, really nice to see the animals calm napping : birds, koalas, emu, kangaroos, wombats.... the place was clean and well kept. Spent 30 minutes. I highly recommend, with or without children it is nice to have a walk in the forest!"
"Amazing wildlife reserve in the outskirts of Newcastle. Watch koalas, mostly sleeping, kangaroos, some really amazing birds and a few reptiles looking scary. Most amazing: Entry is free and there is ample parking - good time out for the entire family."
"A mostly well maintained wildlife reserve situated over a boardwalk and throughout the forest, there are some renovations currently occurring in Dec 2022. Entry is free, parking is $4 an hour. Child’s playground with weekend kiosk on site too."
