"Nice area, not too bad on our food, more on the well done side but was still really nice. A BIT pricey! And heavily watered down soft drinks, the water tastes more like coke than their "coke"... But all and all, a good environment"
"Tried the brand new menu tonight, food was amazing, hot, fresh and fast, good size meals, the chefs have put alot of time and effort into their new menu, all of the staff were friendly and chatty, great atmosphere. Stone & Wood On Tap! Even the Kids enjoyed their meals, highly recommend trying the Greek Gyros!"
"Our night started off lovely as we had never been to this hotel and we were seated in what was a really nice dining area. Fast foward approximately 15 minutes and 2 diners who were joining a table very close to us arrived with 2 quite large dogs that proceeded to move around and one was so close he had his butt in my chair and I could "smell" him (not pleasant). Hoping the dogs would 'settle" we then resumed our conversation only to be then interupted by Trivia. I then enquired if there was somewhere else to sit so we could not hear the trivia and not be near the dogs and i commented to the waiter "there are 2 dogs" and he said we are dog friendly - to which i replied that i was not. We were able to be moved inside which was perfect for us as we could continue conversing. Then our food arrived, mains and entree together, mine was "cold" my husband's not much warmer - my mothers was ok. It was pretty ordinary all round - work needs to be done there. So: when i rang to book I was told via the phone message to do this online - which I did after signing up to a reservation site - no where in that process was "dogs" mentioned and if i was bringing one or if I had any issue being seated near one and secondly that trivia was on I have since been on the website and I cannot see any mention of the fact that they are dog friendly. I am not fussed on dogs and they scare me and I certainly do not like the presumption that I have no issue nor does anyone else in being seated with a large one being so very close to me - that should have been asked of me at the time of booking - it was not packed so we could have easily been seated where we ended up and avoided the experience leading up to this. But the food being presented needs to be worked on as it's sub standard for the price you pay My husband's comment: teach the bar staff to wash the wine measuring cup after each pour - do not cross contaminate the wine - better still get the wine glasses that have been marked with the small/large markers lines."
"Bar staff have no idea what they are doing, we ordered the mussels and they were so tiny half the shells were empty. The chips were disappointing. Such a shame as the hotel looks lovely. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside, but the food experience needs improving and there’s no coffee machine. Sorry guys this was our first visit and you need to try harder!"
"Great little hidden gem of a pub here, service was great as well as the food but the value for money wasn’t there. The business needs to work on a child’s playground now as the current is far from exciting."
