"I’m a frequent customer with hertz and unfortunately was subject to the worst conditions service I’d ever encountered from a hertz location. I had a long term rental and as per the Ts&Cs any maintenance and normal repairs and servicing is carried out at no inconvenience to the customer… I took the hire I had in for a swap so there wasn’t any inconvenience of not having a reliable source of transportation as I’d already discussed with Hertz Australia responsible for corporate rentals and confirmed this with The location prior to my arrival. Once there I was rudely and confrontationally attacked rather than assisted by a very large and in charge presence resembling a middle aged women however I could have sworn she was in-fact the wicked principle “ms trunchball” from the movie Matilda and much like Matilda I was let down into a dark car park to the chokey which was in the form of a window less van where she use her best customer service abilities to be deliberately intimidating and threatening and wouldn’t uphold the terms and conditions in my rental agreement regarding vehicle services and regular maintenance. She was obviously not well informed of what Hertz offers as part of its rental agreement and demanded that I pay a $2200 accident and damages excess without due cause and just ignored my explanation of the situation and that scheduled maintenance and service of the vehicle was to be done by hertz and not cause any inconvenience to customers and in fact that it stipulates failure to do so can cause litigation and fault to customers. Anyway I was stuck at the air without a vehicle and as this wasn’t meant to be a hassle I was due to be on shift and providing life dependable care to my patients in my professional practice as a registered nurse which I wasn’t able to get too and wasn’t able to give any notice to ensure time for another practitioner to be available in my place and provided the complex clinical care and team oversight of a registered nurse! It’s amazing how much of an impact someone’s unethical and unprofessional behaviour can affect the wider community. I hope this isn’t how this woman conducts herself on a regular basis. Hertz has lost me business in future (usually 2-3moths of total rentals per year). I hope you have the worst in your future endeavours and hopefully Hertz will use disciplinary measures to correct this type of abusive behaviour towards loyal customers providing a terrible and damaging misrepresentation of the hertz brand images."

"Terrible customer service. No personality at all just straight up business. No hello. Nothing. Then he had an attitude when asked what the exact charges were, was I covered by insurance etc. when I picked up the car the window screen on the inside was so filthy I could not see driving into the sun. In fact it was dangerous, I had to find a service station to get something to clean it, then when returning the vehicle I was treated like I was a pain and they hardly gave me anytime to get out of the vehicle and they started checking it over. Terrible service."
