"Delicious and well presented contemporary Japanese dishes. With the truffle season they have a few yummy truffle dishes including the creme caramel which was amazing and I highly recommend you try it. The mushroom ramen is different from all other ramen I have tried but taste wise I don't rate it. The katsu sando is very similar to the ones Ramen Daddy made at the Forage and is a highly recommended meal. The chicken katsu rice bowl was also delicious and well presented. Regards @fooderarri"
"Canteen has brought the old Verity Lane Ramen Daddy ramen experience into a more upscale and roomy experience with great vibes whilst retaining the flavours of their original offerings plus a few new ones. We had the Spicy Daddy and Tokyo Bird and they were both great. The house made noodles had great texture and mouth fill and the ramen broth + aromatic oil complimented each other well. Keen to come back and try a few other things!"
"Amazing food in a cool location. Menu has clearly marked dairy free, vegan etc. Has QR table ordering, which is so handy. I had the home made pickles - tsukemono. The fried mushrooms were the table favourite, so delicious. Also had the vegan rice bowl. The sake list is really impressive, we had a really delicious one, that I’ll seek out again."
"The ambiance of 'Canteen' is breathtaking, featuring a fusion of modern industrial design with natural elements that create a fresh and inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect setting to find my birthday Zen before indulging in an exceptional meal. We had the pleasure of trying several dishes, and we highly recommend the Pop Shrooms, the spicy pork (dry noodle dish), and the egg sando. The drinks were also excellent. On our second visit, we were pleased to find that the quality of the food remained consistently high. We savored the delicious tsukune (chicken meatball skewers), the chicken Katsu sando, and the Dan Dan Egg, each cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor."
