"So I was staying around the corner at The Oceania Crest Hotel. My mum and I decided to give it a try as we had a long day driving around. Okay, so yeah from the other reviews, it's not a quick 5 minutes. But saying that it wasn't a problem. Whilst I was there, there was a few people that had pre phone ordered, like I said I was staying around the corner so I placed my order and was told it take 30mins so I just went back to my room till time. So the meal, the food was nice and freshy made. I got sweet n sour chicken, king prawns & mushroom and ribs in plum sauce. I was happy with my meal, i should have asked if the sweet n sour chicken was battered or not as it wasn't. I'd have preferred battered, but that's a personal choice. I would have tried something different and I bet whatever I have gotten I'd have been happy. Since I've been in Australia 10+years, this one I'll give my top 3."
"We spent $65 on some take away and the special fried rice was boiled short grain like a Basmati or something!! The Szechuan beef was Kantong from a jar with no chile. DON'T DO IT!"
"The food, when I finally got it, was beautiful but the wait was ridiculuous. I waited about half an hour for my meal. They have a huge dining room which, despite being long after lockdown, is not open so perhaps they were rushed off their feet doing takeaways. If that's the case why not employ another chef? I was also disapponted to find that they didn't offer takeaway chopsticks. This is the first Chinese restaurant I haven't been able to get those little wooden chopsticks in more than two years. What was I supposed to do, eat with my hands?"
"Yep agree, you would have had tastier Chinese, its ok though on the whole. Does remind me of a 70/80s motel restaurant, tarted up with a few Chinese trinkets Does get busy with take aways, pay to get in quick after opening with phone order to avoid potential delays on weekends."
