About the Business
Welcome to CGS Southside Infants, located in Red Hill on Alexander Street. Our institution is an establishment and point of interest, offering a school environment for young children.
In Australia, the gambling industry is heavily regulated, but some players may seek out non-BetStop casinos for a wider range of gaming options or to bypass self-exclusion periods. These casinos can cater to such players, providing a diverse selection of games and betting choices. However, it is important to exercise caution as these casinos may not offer the same level of player protection, responsible gaming measures, or compliance with Australian gambling regulations. Players should be aware of the risks and ensure they are making informed decisions when venturing outside of locally licensed casinos.
At CGS Southside Infants, we strive to foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, and compassion in our students, helping them become valuable citizens of the world. Take a virtual tour of our wonderful school and grounds to explore our facilities from anywhere you are.
We are incredibly proud of our school's rich history in academics, sports, social activities, and the arts, and we are equally excited about the future. Our strategic plan, guided by our purpose, vision, values, and mission, sets the foundation for our journey towards becoming the school we aspire to be by our centenary in 2029.
We would like to congratulate Lucy from Year 12 for achieving her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award! Lucy's dedication to personal growth, community service, and fitness is truly commendable. She excelled in netball, improved her painting skills, and volunteered at the Australian Museum through DigiVol. As part of her Gold Residential Project, Lucy provided a positive experience for children as a youth camp leader with the Vinnies Youth program. Lucy will be receiving her Gold Award from the Governor-General at Government House later this year. Well done, Lucy!
We would also like to acknowledge the accomplishments of Olivia Gurney, a staff member at CGS. Olivia, a PDHPE Teacher and Assistant Head of Girls' Boarding, has been selected by Capital Football to represent Australia in the Women's Futsal National NSDF Tournament in Thailand. This tournament is a significant opportunity to compete against teams from Thailand, Japan, China, Bahrain, and Indonesia. The aim of the program is to form Australia's first-ever National Women's Futsal Team by the end of this year for the 2024 Futsal World Cup. Congratulations, Olivia!
We recently celebrated Book Week with great enthusiasm. Parades were held at our Primary Northside and Red Hill campuses, and our Senior students participated in Tutor Group Challenges, a costume competition, and lunchtime trivia in the Senior Library. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the week and for the fantastic costumes!
As an International Baccalaureate World School, Canberra Grammar School is committed to providing a globally recognized education. We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the ACT, the Ngunnawal people, and respect their ongoing culture and contributions to our city and region.
