About the Business
Welcome to Telopea Park School, located at 25 New South Wales Crescent in Barton, Australia. Our institution is a renowned establishment and point of interest in the education sector, offering both primary and secondary school programs.
At Telopea Park School, we prioritize creating a fabulous learning journey for our students. Recently, our primary school students had an incredible day sharing their learning experiences with their parents and carers. The enthusiasm and engagement displayed by everyone involved was truly delightful. We would like to congratulate all the children and their teachers for their hard work in preparing this fantastic experience.
We are proud to announce that one of our Year 4 students, Yuna Rougeaux, received the individual award of "Highly commended for Outstanding Leadership" in sustainable development at the 2023 Order of Australia Association ACT Branch Student Awards. Additionally, our Eco-délégués group received the group prize of "Highly commended" for sustainable development. This was the first time that Telopea Park School participated in these prestigious awards, and we are thrilled with the recognition our students received.
Our students have also been actively involved in the 2023 Kids in Space national program, a collaboration between the Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Australian Space Agency. This pioneering initiative allowed our students to explore space exploration and technology, utilizing the Makers Empire software. They studied the moon, the earth, and life on the International Space Station, engaging in cross-curricular activities in Science and Hass, all of which were STEM-based. We are proud to have had Christian Cook represent our students at the Kids in Space Showcase, where he presented his work.
In a collaborative effort, our Year 10 visual arts class visited the French Australian Preschool to teach a lesson on the art movement known as Pop Art. The students then created a cupcake collage artwork, showcasing their creativity and talent. This inter-school endeavor was a tremendous success, and our Year 10s thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with some expressing newfound interest in pursuing a career in education.
To commemorate our 100-year anniversary, Telopea Park School has partnered with the Canberra Museum and Gallery to create an exhibition showcasing objects from our school archive, including the original school registers from the 1920s. We also had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Esther Davies, a former teacher and now archivist, who shared the rich history of Telopea Park School with past students and staff members. This included stories about the school's construction, notable alumni such as Gough Whitlam, and its transition to a French-Australian bilingual school.
In celebration of Bastille Day, the Telopea P&C is organizing a French Breakfast. Parents, children, and teachers from both the high school and primary school are invited to join us on Friday, 28th July, from 8-9am in the primary quad. The event will feature music performances by our primary choir, socializing, and delicious pastries and hot beverages from Wildflour. You can even pre-order your pastries and beverages before July 20th using the provided link.
We are excited to share these achievements and events with you, and we invite you to explore our website for more information about Telopea Park School. Whether you are interested in our primary or secondary programs, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional education experience for all our students.

Reviews
"Constant Budget Cuts, this school is constantly decaying and devolving, dont send your kid here specially 2023+ this school had major blows to my mental health, dont come here."
"Very nice school my daughter love it"
"The worst school I have ever been to. Genuinely pity anyone who goes here because it compares with hell. The organisation is hideous, the stress is incredulously overwhelming and the management is terrible. Never go here truly ruins lives and wish I could rate negative stars."
"After seeing a recent review written by a certain "Mr Happypants57" I have been inspired to write my own regarding the year nine student known as "Aidan Wray". Before meeting Aidan Wray I was not a good person. I delt substances on the daily and frequently lurked around the boys bathroom block. Then I met Aidan. My life changed in an instant. After meeting him I barely think of anyone else anymore. I have only said a few words to him once or twice passing by him in the hallway but those few words were so powerful and profound that they changed my life for the better. I stopped hanging around the bathrooms and actually went to the oval and touched grass for the first time, I even stopped manufacturing substances. So even though he will probably not read this I would like to say thank you to Aidan Wray for changing my life forever."
"My experience with this school used to be awful. I didn't learn a thing and was frequently bullied. That was until I met the student "Aidan Wray". I have never talked to this student but just looking at him once made me more motivated to go to school just so I could get the chance to see him again. I am now doing better with my grades and have learned to stand up for myself. Thanks to Aidan my school experience has become 100 times better. Just be wary that after 2024 Aidan will not be attending the school and it will instantly revert back to a place that can only be described as the high school equivalent of the ninth circle of hell!"
