About the Business
Welcome to Two Sheds Workshop, located at 65 Sternberg Crescent in Wanniassa, Australia. Our establishment is a point of interest for woodworking enthusiasts and those interested in building skills.
Imagine stepping into our workshop and embarking on a woodworking journey. You may be a total beginner, unsure of your abilities with tools. But that's okay, because at Two Sheds Workshop, we cater to individuals with absolutely no prior knowledge.
Perhaps you have fond memories of your Granddad working away in his shed, the sounds of sawing and hammering, the smell of wood, and the feel of sawdust in your hands. You yearn to experience that joy and contentment he felt.
Furthermore, you're tired of not being able to tackle those tasks around your home that you need or want to do. You want to have them done promptly and to your liking. Whether it's putting up a shelf, fixing a special chair, building an arbour for your climbing rose, creating a compost bay in your veggie patch, or crafting a seat to enjoy your garden, we have you covered.
When you arrive at Two Sheds Workshop, you'll realize you're in the right place. This is where your woodworking journey begins. We'll teach you how to measure, cut, drill, screw, plane, and hammer. You'll learn to use clamps and many other essential woodworking skills. Step by step, you'll build a woodwork project and understand the processes and concepts behind it, so you can apply your newfound knowledge at home.
By the end of your time with us, you'll leave our workshop with a newfound confidence in your ability to Do It Yourself. You may have a tool caddy, a coffee table, or even an adirondack chair that you'll be incredibly proud of. Your woodworking journey will not only have begun, but you will have also built yourself in more ways than one.
At Two Sheds Workshop, we create a supportive, safe, and fun environment for women and kids to learn woodwork and building skills. Our classes and workshops are led by our trade qualified and experienced women teachers. Sally Jean Davis, our esteemed team member, has kept wood-working skills alive even after retiring in 2014. In 2016, she was honored with a Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship.
We also acknowledge the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of our nation and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn, and work.
Join us at Two Sheds Workshop and discover the joy of woodworking, gain confidence, and experience the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.
