The skin is the largest organ of your body, so keeping it healthy is our priority. At Skin Matters, we are firm believers in the prevention and early detection of skin cancers. Early diagnosis can make a big difference in your final outcome. Our skin doctors are experts in early detection, diagnosis, and management of skin cancers.
Skin Matters has invested in world-leading technology – the MoleMax HD, to assist in the early detection of skin cancers. Although Melanoma is the word many associate with skin cancer, there are actually three different types of skin cancer, named after the cells they affect (squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma).
Using the world-leading MoleMax HD Skin System allows us to conduct full high definition, complete body mapping. The ultra-high magnification (up to x100) on the MoleMax HD enables us to zoom in and get up close to any cells that look a little suspicious, allowing us to see deep into the structure of the skin for more precise detection and diagnosis of skin cancers.
All skin cancer checks include a thorough examination by the skin doctor and full body mapping. What’s more, once we have your full body map, we keep it on file, so we can easily detect and compare changes in your skin over time.
If you have seen changes in the size, shape, color, or texture of your moles, freckles, or sun spots, or if you have any concerns about your skin, call and make an appointment with our highly experienced skin doctors!
MoleMax HD scanning technology minimizes unnecessary surgical excisions. Skin Matters SA is a private center offering the latest in Full body Skin Cancer check and incorporates Melanoma Screen SA, which offers the latest in Mole scanning technology.

"My husband attended once. Extremely expensive, and he decided to go to another recommended dermatologist. Has never been back to Skin Matters. Skin Matters contacted my husband, to find out where he went. Skin Matters have also contacted his new Dermatologist to find out information. Skin Matters have repeatedly contacted my husband asking for more information as they were unsuccessful in their attempts to find out information from his new clinic. My husband has made it very clear he will not be returning to Skin Matters. This repeated contacting to continue to find out information made us feel extremely uncomfortable, and makes us suspicious as to why they keep contacting us when we have made it clear we are not returning to them"
"Awful service and unprofessional staff. My mum was concerned about a spot behind my ear that it looked like it had been changing over time. My GP (after inspection) referred me to this clinic. At the end of my appointment with "Skin Matters SA" I was told I am too young for skin cancer, laughed at and charged a large amount of money for that advice. I was unfairly treated at this clinic and as a young person I was taken advantage of. My dad had skin cancer twice and I can confirm there are places you can go that don't charge for the same service :) Do your research!"
"Just over a year ago I had my skin checked here, I went specifically to have a spot on my nose looked at. I was told it was fine. I asked the practitioner to double check, she did and then said, don’t worry, it’s nothing. 12 months later, I’ve just left a consult with a plastic surgeon, who my GP referred me to. Surgery to have said spot removed is scheduled for mid Jan 2021. The “it’s nothing” spot is a large BCC which requires surgery, full anaesthesia & the surgeon has told me, he’ll do his very best but there will be scarring. I don’t want to rubbish this clinic, I’m sure they probably pick up some cancers, I’m just disappointed mine wasn’t one of them. I’d recommend you find a good GP to look at anything you’re really worried about."
"Very thorough and thoughtful staff."
"Really happy with the service here, no wonder it took a while to get an appointment. The small talk as I was questioned and examined was masterful which made something that could have been quite awkward very easy to bare. Price was quite high but I think that's because it was a first appointment and there was both a doctor and nurse present."
