"Very nice pub for a cold winters night. Open fire a handful of tables in the dining room. Elegant menu, standard rules apply order your protein choice, then order the sides of your choice. Not a cheap endeavour but it will be good quality cooked well. Great for couples or small groups say 4 people. The space is intimate, not somewhere for noisy crowds."
"Delicious dinner, good wine, silver service and a very enjoyable drink with the owners by the fireplace. I highly recommend The Rising Sun Inn"
"Family-home-like restorant with chill-out atmosphere. No rush and stress around at all, everyone are reserved and friendly just like at an ordinary quiet Sunday lunch. Enough items on the menu and cooked freshly in a timely manner. Food are delicious and tasty, the bottle of wine recommended was absolutely the best I had in recent year! Dessert ordered was plenty and nice. Both the food and wine experience was outstanding with the professional service are remarkable. We will return soon! I only can recommend it strongly for those who appreciate the little history of the town and want to celebrate the fine cuisine as it should be!"
"Ok, so things did not go according to plan tonight, but the way staff dealt with the issues was exemplary, and that is why they get 5 stars all round. Firstly, it was really busy. Our entree came out ok but it was over an hour before our mains made an appearance. We were kept in the loop, apologies were made, and we received a free glass of wine each and 20% off the total bill. We get that things go wrong sometimes... It's the way that is handled that is important. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We will definitely be back."
"It's a lovely old fashioned pub. Cosy and warm atmosphere. Easy to chat and not too noisy. Two fireplaces are lit during this winter night. I found the food average, it seemed to lack flavour. Could be a lot better considering how expensive some of the dishes are. The wine list is quite good. Overall a memorable evening."
