The Canberra Cambodian School (CCS) is a non-profit community service program located in Charnwood, Arkell Place, 3. Founded in 2007 under the incorporated body of the Khemarangsi Buddhist Temple of ACT, CCS aims to meet the needs of Australian children of Cambodian descent, as well as the wider public, by providing a formal education in Khmer language and culture.
At CCS, we understand the importance of preserving and promoting the Khmer language and culture in day-to-day life, education, and profession. Our institution offers classes for both school-aged children and adults, catering to individuals who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the Khmer language and culture.
As a member of the ACT Community Language Schools Association, CCS follows the ACT government school terms and operates with a team of qualified, experienced, and responsible teachers. The primary objectives of our Khmer language program are to provide Australian-Cambodian communities in the ACT and beyond with an opportunity to learn and appreciate the richness of the Khmer language and culture. By doing so, we strive to lay a solid foundation for personal enrichment and promote cultural diversity within our community.
