ACT HUB is proud to announce its exciting 2023 season, featuring a diverse range of productions that showcase the talents of our vibrant community. To celebrate this upcoming season, we have commissioned a captivating black and white cartoon artwork by the talented Arran McKenna, depicting prominent figures within the ACT HUB community.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! We are thrilled to invite aspiring performers to audition for the fabulous productions in our 2024 ACT Hub season. The audition will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023, starting at approximately 9:30 am and concluding at 12 pm, with callbacks scheduled for the afternoon.
Our venue, the ACT Hub, is conveniently located at Causeway Hall on Spinifex Street in Kingston. This state-of-the-art facility provides the perfect backdrop for our performances, offering a comfortable and engaging experience for both performers and audience members.
At ACT HUB, we believe in inclusivity and diversity. We welcome experienced performers of all ages, 18 years and above, from all ethnic backgrounds and gender identities. In particular, we strongly encourage auditions from male, female, and non-binary identifying BIPOC/First Nations actors aged in their 20s to 30s range. We believe in providing equal opportunities for all, and we value the unique perspectives and talents that each individual brings to our productions.
As an institution, ACT HUB acknowledges and respects the Traditional Custodians of the Canberra region, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. "The Causeway Hall is a nice venue with a few downfalls, one being the bathroom. In the bathroom, you can see over the tops of the cubicle, which doesn't feel very privacy safe, and there was also a large spider and wet paint in the urinal, and the tap on the sink wobbles when you touch it. Apart from this, the actual hall is very nice, it has a large stage, a supply of chairs and lots of space to walk around."
