Reviews
"Would recommend a guided tour, as an unguided walk-through makes you feel like an imposter"
"Great stop to learn about Canberra and had a decent amount of items in the shop which was local to the city."
"I enjoyed this museum a lot more than I expected. It’s small, but well designed and jam packed with great information about the history and layout of Canberra. This was one of our first stops when we visited the city and it was a great introduction to Canberra. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and the museum is free to visit. The views outside are also amazing, as is the nearby Commonwealth Park. We were lucky to visit at the same time as some school groups as we were able to see the interactive presentation over the display model (I think this only plays when school groups are there, which is a shame). Overall, a short stop, but definitely worth the visit!"
"We saw a short video about the history of Canberra. That was good. Also the model is interesting to look at. Good to visit if u have an interest in history and geography"
"Some really nice artefacts, pictures and information about the history of Canberra. The model of the city if also helpful to students studying Canberra. The layout is neat and intriguing. Look out for closing times as they vary sometimes. It has a nice view over looking the lake."
