Reviews
"Just drove there to see how it looks like once. Seems pretty decent site. I guess there should be several great hiking tracks nearby according to the comments. We took a look and left as my kid is too young for hiking. Will definitely come back spend a night or two."
"Really well kept grounds and great views of the Milky Way for astrophotography! A very rich history lies in the remains of the old tracking station and access to the Booroomba Rocks Trailhead."
"Breath taking scenery. We did 3 hours tracking course and it was absolutely beautiful. Additionally, you are rewarded by breath taking scenery when you get to the top of mountain. Not a good place for kids as some parts of tracking were not safe."
"A family favourite. We've come back here over and over again through the years. Lots of history and plenty of rocks and sisters for the kids to explore. The walk up to Booroomba Rocks is great, although it's 11km round trip from the campsite. You can cut it down to 2.5km if you drive to the car park. Very well with seeing the view. Pro tip: take the path to the right about 10m before the end of the trail marker. This will take you to Ed's Chair, which is a much more spectacular view."
"An interesting story behind this campsite. Well setup although very small. Expect loud noises early in the morning from selfish bush walkers and their vehicles screaming up the road at 6am. Apart from that it's a nice spot and well serviced."
