Reviews
"Very poor service. Emailed and left a message for someone to call me back about an urgent matter they had agreed to deal with and did not respond."
"Received excellent advice from Amanda. Amanda was very generous with her time regards my new apartment purchase in the Canberra region."
"Les and Marianne are always a pleasure to deal with. Overall a good experience at tlgl."
"Mel on reception was lovely & helpful to talk to and Les responded to my request for a contract review the same day! Very impressed!"
"I would like to share my experience in dealing with Les and his practice and why I would not recommend using his services for your legal needs. The issue surrounds a property settlement and his approach and issues with advice provided throughout the process including how his staff would treat my partner and I. The first issue surrounding this is we were originally provided by gary who initially provided a substantial amount of mis-advice surrounding the actual completion of our unit, which had us exchange on the contract under false information and expectations. Initially Les had tried to shift the blame back onto me (which was revealing of the remainders of my dealings with him) The second issue arising was the distinct lack of communication. Les was handling both the purchase and resale contracts (upon the advice of our agent due to cost), it was a very delayed process on his end despite the clear sense of urgency from all other parties involved. The next issue was despite enquiries over the phone it was not until the night of the exchange that Les had decided to mention the stamp duty concession would not be applicable, this was followed by an email exchange where he was trying to cover his tracks and I infact provided evidence that he was blatantly lying at which point I was told I could collect my files. The third issue arising was to do with the interest on the deposit, which despite multiple requests to have the settlement statement explained (all of which were ignored) I picked up that the interest on the deposit was not present and at which point Les and his firm again entered into another process of covering their tracks. The fact is you pay for a level of service when you engage a solicitor to handle your property conveyancing, his service, level of mis-advice and demeanour towards our matter is below what you would expect from a conveyancer and if fees were not deducted on settlement its something I certainly would have challenged. My best advice to readers is to avoid using Les and his practice and seek out more informed council. Adam"
