Our primary goal is to foster the growth of ethical, thoughtful, informed, and active members of our multicultural society. From Years 7 to 10, we have a set of compulsory subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities, ensuring that our students have a strong foundation in these core areas.

We believe in individualized education and regularly review student placements at the end of each assessment and reporting period. This allows us to carefully consider each student's learning and developmental needs. Classes are set according to student ability, in consultation with class teachers and parents. We also provide opportunities for extension through various competitions and activities such as Debating, CREST, Tournament of the Minds, Da Vinci Decathlon, and activities organized by the Australian Maths Trust.

Languages are an integral part of the learning experience at Gold Creek School. Students have the opportunity to learn French, Indonesian, or Japanese at both beginner and advanced levels.

In addition to the core subjects, we offer a variety of optional subjects taught by passionate teachers who have a love and enthusiasm for their specialist areas. Currently, we offer courses in Textiles, Visual Art (both two and three-dimensional), Dance, Music, and Drama.

Health and Physical Education (HPE) is also a compulsory subject for all students in Years 7 to 10. Our HPE curriculum is designed to promote healthy living through physical activity and making sensible choices. In Year 9 and 10, students have the opportunity to participate in Outdoor Education, Boot Camp for Girls and Boys, and Sports Leadership programs.

At Gold Creek School, we have an extensive inter-school sports program that provides our students with the opportunity to engage in friendly competition. We strive to involve as many teams as possible in our fixtures with local schools. Students from Years 7 to 10 can trial for selection in various sports such as Beach Volleyball, Basketball, Buroinjin, AFL, Rugby League 7’s, Softball, Tennis, Swimming, Oztag, Touch, Indoor Cricket, Volleyball, Rugby League 9’s, Hockey, Cross Country, and Athletics.
