"Thanks Cindy"
"Appalling organisation. They failed to rtn my calls when I was diagnosed with cancer. Eventually, two weeks after my first operation they contacted me but provided no services including no connection to a cancer nurse to assist me as a single, disabled middle-aged woman with a heart condition. Or to inform me of IPTAS. This organization is set-up to raise funds to pay themselves and not assist people in need of urgent help. I have delivered funds to this NFP when two members of my immediate family passed. All I got was a receipt. When it was my turn to deal with the trauma of cancer they did nothing. Please let this be a warning not to spend your hard earned dollars. Rise Above assisted me on a weekly basis. If you want to donate please consider this team out of Queanbeyan. They were simply wonderful, and I look forward to giving them all the support I can, to ensure others do not have the same issues. I lost three of my organs and I am still in recovery, but I will never forget how I was treated as a number by the head & local office of the Cancer Council. DISGUSTING!"
