About the Business
Welcome to Evatt Primary School, located in the beautiful suburb of Evatt in Canberra, Australia. Our school is a vibrant and inclusive establishment, serving students from preschool to year 6. With a current enrolment of 350 students, including a preschool program, Evatt Primary School is a diverse and multicultural community.
At Evatt Primary School, we strive to create a welcoming environment that fosters strong connections between families and children. To further strengthen these relationships and promote literacy, we have recently opened a café where families can gather and enjoy reading together before the start of classes.
Our curriculum is in line with the new Australian Curriculum and is designed to meet the individual needs of our students. In addition to core subjects, we offer Japanese as our Language Other Than English (LOTE) program, with all K-6 students participating in one lesson per week. Our Japanese room is adorned with authentic furniture and artifacts, providing an immersive learning experience.
We take pride in our well-resourced school, which offers a wide range of technological resources to support learning across all curriculum areas. Students have access to various technologies that enhance their educational journey. To enrich their learning experience, we organize visits to places of historical and geographical significance, as well as concerts and performances within the school. Additionally, our residential camp program allows students to experience life and learning outside of the traditional classroom setting.
At Evatt Primary School, we prioritize fostering respectful relationships within our community. Every member of our school community is valued and respected for their contribution to the education of all. We believe in promoting healthy lifestyles and environmental awareness, actively encouraging our students to adopt sustainable practices and reduce pollution.
Our school library is a treasure trove of fiction and nonfiction books, and we encourage all students from preschool to year 6 to utilize this resource to develop a love for reading. Students are encouraged to bring a book bag to school every day, which can also be used for safely carrying library books.
We strongly believe that every student possesses unique talents and abilities, and we provide ample opportunities for them to explore and discover their individuality. Our dedicated staff is committed to nurturing and supporting each student's personal growth and development.
We warmly welcome visitors to come and experience our wonderful school firsthand. Whether you are a prospective student, parent, or simply interested in learning more about Evatt Primary School, we invite you to contact us or visit our campus. Our friendly staff is always available to assist you.
Come and join us at Evatt Primary School, where we strive for excellence, foster strong relationships, and empower our students for a bright future.

Reviews
"We changed to this school in 2022 after moving to the area from another nearby Belconnen suburb. Initially unsure what the school would be like we met with the Principal (Michael) and Deputy (Jamal) for a tour and were absolutely blown away by how engaged they were, and this energy has passed through to all the staff we have interacted with. We have had nothing but positive experiences in the time we've been with the school and see no reason why that would change.,"
"I don't like the new principals and how they have rebranded the school along with changing the logo to be ugly and not match the uniform, or how they use eagles in their branding to the point where it's annoying"
"This school did not educate me at all, they didnt help kids who didnt understand they resaid what they originally said which was the confusing part for me. The teachers had no idea what they were doing and werent helpful at all. They screamed at us and got mad at us kids for such little things we couldnt control"
"A great school, small classes, lots of teachers and lots of extracurricular activities to keep the kids learning."
"Can't organise a thing to save their lives. If dealing with staff, prepare to use small words only. Also, expect your child to come home and mention that the principal came past and messed with their lunch. "Why did you just rip the bread roll in half and not eat any?" "Miss Skinner did that" "Why was the principal touching your lunch?" "I don't know". No-one knows. If you're considering this school - just run."
