Our Essential Lite Visitors cover provides comprehensive coverage, but it's important to note that fund and policy rules apply, and yearly limits may also apply. Additionally, please be aware that 100% of the cost will only be covered for Blua consults, and members will only be able to book general consultations via Blua. Unfortunately, consultations with specialists cannot be booked via Blua. For members who are under 18 years old, they may need to attend the consultation with a parent or guardian. We also understand that members may have preferred languages, and while we strive to accommodate this, it may not be available 24/7.

"Tired at least 5 times to make a claim but didn’t even receive a response or case number. They just ignored people. When I moved overseas, I tried to suspend my account and the lady in the belco shop told me in person that it’s been scheduled to suspend in the system. Guess what? I’m still getting charged after two months! Tried to contact Bupa online/app/WhatsApp so many times, but they still had my account open and taking my money. Don’t waste your time and money on this brand. -24 June 2023 updated below- Got another charge! Again no response from the Bupa customer service. And see their response below, as I said I didn’t get their response from online/app/WhatsApp, their solution is just letting me contact them on Facebook, twitter and Ins! Such a joke company! Again, do not waste your money and time!"
"I went to my visa medical on Tuesday morning - 30/05/2023 at 8:00 AM . The lady who took my blood didn’t lock in the clip properly and it opened while she’s taking the blood and she moved the needle while taking the blood and that’s my condition even today … I couldn’t move my hand for 2 days. And even today I’m still struggling.. whom should I even question about this.."
"I have joined bupa two weeks ago then I wanted to add my family details.But no customer care officers are taking calls for existing members.I tried bupa whatsup messaging system, still no luck.Then I chose new costemer want to join in the options.Then they took in one minute but when they know i have already joined then they put me on another line and no one is answring.I had been with few other health insurance companies before this one is most frustrating. I just want to tell the people who thinking to join Bupa do not tempted with the promotional offers. This is the worst in the market."
"Joined Bupa today. Possibly a mistake. The young woman made two mistakes setting up the membership. Now, I've decided that I should register my membership via the app. That doesn't work. The validation email is nowhere to be seen (including my spam folder). So now, my first evening as a Bupa member I'm 'on hold', listening to all the Bupa palaver, because I have to talk to someone to register."
"As an assisting customer of Bupa. I went in to the shop front to see what other offers Bupa could offer me as my circumstance and health needs had changed since first signing up. I had got a quote through a broker to compare other insurance companies. I told the staff member clearly of my needs and what was import to me. She then proceed to quote me randomly with insurances that didn't include items which where the reason of me requiring a change. She didn't even take into count my income change also, nor did she ask. I felt the staff member wasn't customer focus and was more about making a easy sale then looking into what I required personally from a health fund. I have since been contacted by Bupa in regards to changing my policy.. As stated on the phone. I am no longer interested and will be cancelling my policy as soon as I sign a new business contact and know exactly my potential wages for this coming financial year. The poor customer service skills from this individual has damaged any faith I had with Bupa and will no longer recommend them to anyone. I encharage everyone to look else where as Bupa deals and staff aren't worth it. Bupa has very limited facility's in Canberra also. It's not the best option here either and the circle of provides are slowly getting smaller. I would also like to note. As someone who has on going chronic health conditions -neurological, blood pressure, tinitues, light sensitive, noise sensitives, sight issues , spinal damage, etc etc Bupa dosen't offer enough coverage for these sorts of people or reward loyal customers, as some the other brands/companies do. I'm happy to be contacted about more in-deth information on the staff member I had the bad experience with. I am not interested in extending my policy with Bupa. I highly recommend looking else where for health insurance as your dollar can go further else where."
