The staff is super friendly and their service is amazing. They do their best to make your dining special even when it’s busy. The atmosphere will already draw you in from the outside the moment you look in."

"Recently had the pleasure of dining at OMI in Canberra's Civic Centre and it was an experience well worth it. The restaurant was bustling with energy and the seating was comfortably arranged. The highlight of the meal had to be their signature Wagyu Soba. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the Wagyu was tender and flavorful, making it a must-try. The Katsu Chicken with Udon was another delightful dish. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the spicy mayo had just the right kick - not too overwhelming. The Onsen egg, however, was slightly less firm than I prefer. We also indulged in the Truffle Fries which came with a generous amount of truffle mayo. If you're a fan of truffle, these fries won't disappoint. The staff were prompt and friendly, contributing to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend OMI for anyone seeking quality Japanese cuisine in Canberra. Especially, the Wagyu dishes which they are well known for. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"We went to this place for dinner around 4 pm. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I had the chicken Katsu with rice with free yuzu soft drink(was really nice) and my partner had new dish which is the truffle ramen was delicious. We were not a big fan of the Taki beef i think because they didn’t have much sauce only bit of sauce underneath salad. Overall the staff was very professional, nice place for food, definitely awarded for this. Also they make it really easy to order from the table and pay at the end."

"Edited review: Went last Sunday 21/5/23 with my family. Ordered around 2:45pm via waitress, this girl was new & nearly put the wrong order in which was rectified. Asked her a question in regards to free Mock tail & she said she’ll check but didn’t come back with an answer. Food was nice but not served hot, slightly lukewarm this time around. And there’s another waitress that just had this angry face on the whole time we were dining there which just made it a bit unpleasant. Might not be coming back so soon. Shame after we had such a great experience just 2 weeks before. And they also have a surcharge on the weekend. Absolutely enjoyable lunch with my kids today. Servers were very friendly & approachable. Service was swift after the order was done via QR code. Food was absolutely delicious & done right. Wagyu did melt in the mouth & my daughter enjoyed her Karage chicken dish with rice bowl. Managed to score an Asahi for only $8 from the tap as the clock hit 3pm for Happy Hours. Well priced for the quality of food presented. Whole restaurant was spotless & clean. Will be back to try out other items on the menu. Well done & keep it up!"
