It is about 10 kilometers away from downtown Adelaide and covers an area of about 20 hectares. The Thorndon Park Reserve is an urban park, formerly known as the Thorndon Park reservoir, an ancient reservoir built in 1860 and the first reservoir in Adelaide to provide water for the city. Converted into a park and open to the public. Half of the area of Seton Park Reserve is covered by reservoirs, ponds and wetlands. The park has a beautiful environment, shady trees, and a variety of wildlife, especially the lake. There are many kinds of water birds.
