"Terrible atmosphere as the cleaner was vacuuming during dinner service at 7.30 pm on a Saturdaynight. Could not talk or hear each other. Pointless going for a nice meal with that kind of noise."
"The food was great, although my steak was more medium-well than medium-rare (may have misheard when ordered). The chips are the best in town. The staff helped us clean up a drink that we spilled and replaced the drink for free, which was nice . Also, as expected, the footy was on the TV"
"I used to love eating at the Corio however last night's dinner was a disappointment. We both had roast of the day which was beef. It wasn't a nice bit of beef, more like a cheap cut. Not tender, needed a steak knife to cut through it. Seasoning on beef was ok. Parsnip & carrot were a bit dry & woody. Only green was baby broccoli. Potato was nice. No Yorkshire pudding! Garlic bread has changed from being crunchy toasted slices to thick bread just like you get from a pizza take out. Staff were friendly. I preferred the old management. Not worth $24"
"Our family had dinner at Corio Hotel last night. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Staff were friendly, but that's where it ends. After waiting more than an hour for our meals on what was not a busy night, what we got was definitely not what was promised on the menu. The barramundi was dry, as were the lamb shanks. Shanks were also fatty, tasteless and supposed to come with mash potato and veg. What was delivered was no mash (replaced with chips?) and 2 pieces of carrot. Kids nugget meal was equally disappointing, not sure how you can get chips and nuggets wrong. The chips were mushy and cold and the nuggets just mush in crumbs. High end pricing for terrible pub food with all adult meals purchased around $35 per meal. I would suggest giving this a wide berth. Shame, because it is a nice old country pub and does have potential."
