"such a lovely stay at the cottage! Having a wood fire made everything feel so warm and cozy, which was perfect for winter! And that bathtub is perfect for a nice soak and enjoying a glass of local wine! We had everything we could possibly need here - loved the addition of fresh-baked bread and farm-fresh eggs for breakfast! The location is ideal for exploring the area - lots of smaller wineries nearby, and some great walks in Kuitpo or Onkaparinga National Park too! The views around here are beautiful with the hills and all of the bush; I think it's a much more picturesque part of McLaren Vale than closer to the coast and feels a bit more like a country escape. And of course the cottage itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden and outdoor area to enjoy. Check the info book inside for photos of the restoration project that owners Joylene and Rob took on - they did such a great job with the stonework and bringing this piece of family history back to it's former glory."
