"As I very long term client of Mia’s (over 15 years) I can safely say that I trust her implicitly with my hair & I have never, ever had a cut, colour or any other service that I haven’t been thrilled with. It is always a pleasure to spend time in the salon, she is extremely personable & always professional, and she is very talented at what she does. Can’t recommend her highly enough! :) To the Antonia woman who left a review here, what a nasty piece of work you are - get another hobby because it appears that your current one is leaving bad reviews of every small business you deal with. The detail that you omitted from your fairytale was that you were extremely rude & argumentative, and when Mia said that it was time for you to leave because she didn’t need to take your abuse, you started swearing & name-calling - in the middle of salon & in front of other clients so yes, there are witnesses - and then refused to pay. Mia had to demand that you paid for the service she provided, all the while you standing swearing at her. Is this a deliberate attempt to rip off a small business? Something you do often just for fun? Your behaviour was disgusting and to anyone who read this woman’s review & is considering making an appointment with Bohemian, disregard this bitter old woman’s outright lies."

"What a horrific experience, no exaggeration. I am really careful about leaving negative reviews because fairness and objectivity are important and I want to give the benefit of the doubt and because everyone has off days especially in service jobs. But this was beyond anything I've ever experienced before and it's only right to let others know what to expect. I was treated with a kind of disdain from the moment of entering. As though my presence was barely tolerable. Mia did not introduce herself or show any kind of welcome in any way. Quite the opposite. So that's OK, we are all different, let people be who they are. I've had hundreds of haircuts in my life. Never have I been treated like a child, told repeatedly to hold still when I am not even moving for fear of being yelled at. She comes across that way. When I asked her to take the length off more she kept insisting it was not what I showed her in the photos I had shown even though 2 of the 3 clearly were and I had told her at the beginning how short I wanted it. She refused to do it after I explained why and then just stopped altogether. She became rude and condescending and told me we were done. When I said - without raising my voice in any way - OK forget it let's just leave it, she called me a "horrible person" repeatedly. I guess showing any kind of dismay qualifies you as a horrible person. I'm quite sure she will try to refute what I've described by exaggerating and outright lying. In a conversation she was having with someone else in the salon she was horrified that the person's relative had not sent a thank you for a present they had sent and that if it was her she would "make her life miserable". This kind of vindictiveness and her callous treatment of her own clients point to a mind that sees everyone and everything as despicable. Even when I had told her at the end that it was my birthday and that the experience had ruined my day, all she could do was insult me some more. "You're a horrible person". Imagine that. Stay away from this salon. My advice to her is if you're sick of people then get out of the service industry. Or learn to treat them with decency."
