We are proud to announce that Torrens Clinic now has COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics on Mondays and Tuesdays at our secondary location, 421 Port Road, Croydon. Our clinics provide Pfizer booster shots for individuals aged 12 and above. To secure your vaccination appointment, please call us at 8346 6408.

Please note that non-concession card holders will be charged the scheduled fee for telephone consultations. For face-to-face consultations, a fee is also applicable and payable at the time of the visit. However, rest assured that the Medicare rebate will be deposited into your bank account on the same day.

To streamline the appointment booking process, we offer online booking options through our website or the HotDoc mobile app. This secure and convenient method eliminates the need to wait on hold to speak to our receptionist. Additionally, HotDoc will send you a reminder message with your appointment details.

If you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, we kindly request that you book a phone consultation instead of a face-to-face visit. This precautionary measure is in place to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. If you are seeing one of our independent contract doctors, please remember to wear a mask to your appointment, as their preference may differ.

Eligible patients can expect Government Funded Flu vaccinations from mid-April 2023. For non-eligible patients, we encourage you to consult with our doctors to obtain a prescription and schedule your vaccination at a later date.

For your convenience, our Croydon Clinic at 421 Port Road has a car park accessible via Princess Street, next to 12 Princess Street. However, please be aware that there are Clearway restrictions on Port Road before 10 am and after 3 pm.

At Torrens Clinic, our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care, incorporating a holistic approach to diagnosis and illness management. Our history dates back to the 1960s when Drs. Patrick, Smallhorn, Sando, and Chadwick established rooms on Port Road Hindmarsh and later on South Road, Croydon. Dr. Turnbull joined the clinic in 1967, followed by Dr. Allen in 1971. Today, Torrens Clinic continues to thrive and expand.

Our team consists of six male doctors and three female doctors, including Dr. Lauren Astrauskas, Dr. Jim Christpoulos, Dr. Gavin James, Dr. Lyn Muller, and Dr. Liz Clisby. We are dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to individuals of all ages, from birth through to senior years.

For telephone consults, non-concession card holders are required to pay the fee over the phone by credit card at the time of service. Our commitment to your well-being extends beyond medical consultations. We also operate a Clinpath Pathology Collection Centre at 83 Holbrooks Road, Flinders Park, open from 8 am to 12 pm, Monday to Friday. For your convenience, our Australian Clinical Labs Pathology Collection Centre at 421 Port Road, Croydon, is open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Both collection sites accept request forms from all pathology companies.
