"Paid a $100 afterhours fee (called at 11pm, service came at midnight) as no-one thought to tell us that we could use the firestairs. The hotline also lied and told the on-duty staff member that we “didn’t want to take the stairs”. We would happily have done so if we had known we could but we feared we would trigger an alarm and followed the hotel guidelines instead. There was also no hand soap available anywhere in the two bedroom (three/four bed) apartment we booked and the shower knob was broken and kept falling off. The beds had synthetic sheets so it was a hot and sweaty night, in all the wrong ways. They had two sets of keys for the room despite it accomodating 4-6 adults and no emergency replacement key available. Had to get it cut if you wanted a new one but there was still no extra life cards even if the hotel did that. There was a country music festival across the road which was incredibly loud and no notification was given to us. Also building works throughout the surrounding neighbourhood were similarly loud, started early and finished late, and again no notice was given. The hotel was stingy with towels and service was a begrudging bare minimum at best. The after hours line actually hung up on us twice. + the stove took half an hour to boil two eggs. Way too expensive for the stay we had and wouldn't recommend going here under any circumstances."
"Got to the hotel at 3pm. An hour after our earliest check in. We where advised that our privacy will be interupted due to a pest spray person spraying while where there. We where put into room 31 where we found dead bugs and hair on the beds.( The dead bugs where before the pest spray) We where then moved to room 19 where we had then gotten a second dirty room. With a line a dirt going around all walls of the carpet In multiple rooms. The staff I had the pleasure of interacting with where lovely and polite. Offered details about surround areas and events and all the things the hotel itself offers like the pool and bbq area. The parking is very average for hotel undercover parking. Small and cramped but at least safer then on the street. Nothing to complement but nothing to complain about parking. Layers of dust on both the cieling fans. 1 in each bedroom. And air vents layered in what's seems atleast a month if not more of dust buildup. The cupboards in the kitchen where filthy with dirt , sand and other debris. Was not Evan checked when they cleaned and if where was ignored. My friends and I will not be coming here again due to the very low level of hygiene implemented in there cleaning process. All the dust around the rooms has made my ahstma play up seriously through out our 3 days. Edit reply to management. So your telling me 12 people complained and you didn't send anyone up or kick us out there or the next morning. Your clearly exaggerating the amount of complaints and if not please show me the recorded list of complaints. 2nd : I don't personally smoke and step away from close proximity of smoke to help prevent my asthma flaring up. To top it off the carpark which you gave us has empty wine bottles against wall of it. And probably still does. Finally a question. Why is it before any complaints where made you still find it ok for 2 of your rooms that where supposedly cleaned to be this filthy ? But Evan given all that I get it. Your just another company seeing a bad review of your company and trying to cover yourself by throwing the blame back onto the customer."
"I stayed at Sandpiper for three nights . Nathan the Manager was extremely lovely and accommodating for my special needs. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and has been fully renovated. I booked a one bedroom Apartment 45 on the 11th Floor Ocean view was amazing. It was so great being walking distance to Victoria Ave. Will definitely stay there again."
"Great location. Beach views from the balcony. Clean apartment with comfortable bed, cooking facilities and balcony seating. Big screen TV. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants, public transport and the surf beach is just across the street. Also has secure underground parking. It’s all here, would be happy to return."
"We booked a two bedroom apartment here at the Sandpiper Apartments for 5 nights over Blues on Broadbeach festival. It was the perfect apartment suited all our needs. So close to all stages the main stage across the park made to the perfect place to chill listen to all the music and watch the park come to life. If you are here for a quiet time check out the music festival date here in Broadbeach and avoid them. We had apartment 24 which was very clean and recently renovated. The king size bed was so comfortable and the shower was perfect. Large plasma screen in the lounge area and a split system and fans for temperature control. One car park space free in a underground secure space. The grounds were well maintained and pool spa an bbq were available for use. The Patrolled beach is 150 meters away across the family friendly park. One block from all wonderful restaurants, clubs and shops. Walk to the casino or Pacific Fair or catch a tram to Surfers only a couple of blocks away. I booked online, when I rang and spoke to reception (Correna.) She was so helpful and patient and ringing direct got me the best deal. All staff were friendly and we had an fabulous time. We will definitely return"
