"I've always tried to support my local IGA but I've shopped here for the last time. Veggies are always mushy. Meat looks dusky and unfresh like the fridge isn't cold enough? It often says one price on the shelf and another when you go to pay, honest mistake or a way to try and rip people off hoping they won't notice? Today I went to buy cabbage. It looked old and unfresh and had a best before date of 16/8 (making it 7 days old). I went to ask a staff member if they had any fresh cabbage and she assured me this was fresh. She then said the lady responsible for fresh produce wasn't there at this time, but she could probably sell it to me for a dollar instead of full price. Being pregnant food safety is important to me so I obviously said no, I want something that is fresh and doesn't have a best before date of 16/8. She said, yeah I guess it depends on how you like your fresh produce. Well guess what - I like it fresh !! She then suggested I get the wombok instead, with best before date 13/8. Needless to say, next time I'll go to SPAR where everything is always fresh!"
"Sandwiches and rolls are days old. When asked about it was told by cashier that ' it'll be fine'. I don't want it'll be fine. I want fresh. There was quite a few from 2 days ago. Will not bother buying sandwiches from here anymore"

"Excellent service, all the staff are so friendly and actually make eye contact with you which is really lovely to see these days with staff shortages etc. it almost feels like no one has time for niceties. I witnessed a lovely elderly lady today hobble around the store and the lovely staff member whom served her politely carried her bags to the car whilst enjoying conversation. This staff member provide a safe environment for the elderly and what a beautiful soul for doing so."
