At Boat Licence, Theory Practical, we offer a range of skills and courses to cater to different interests and needs. Our focus is on tourism, hospitality, cookery, care services, and community volunteering. Our institution, Aerie SACE College & YHA, is dedicated to helping distressed youth find their path to happiness. We understand that some young people may feel lost or disconnected in traditional school settings, and we aim to provide them with a supportive and nurturing environment to rediscover their potential.

The Aerie Collegiate Community is where the "wild ones" thrive. We believe that those who are different or unconventional have the potential to become future change-makers and entrepreneurs. With a focus on wellness, happiness, and wilderness adventures, we guide these individuals towards completing their SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) and offer vocational education and training programs in areas such as hospitality, cookery, care services, and tourism leadership.

Our approach is unique and exciting. We start with a six-week River Murray Wilderness Cruise Summer school, where potential students get to meet our staff and experience wild-ness learning firsthand. This immersive experience allows us to assess their suitability for our community.

Safety is our top priority, and we only admit individuals who meet our criteria for a safe and supportive community. We welcome family boats to join our summer school cruise, as we believe that involving families can enhance the overall experience and support system for our students.

Wild-ness is not just a place, but a behavior that creates happiness. We understand that many older teens are struggling to find a happy and healthy path forward, and we aim to provide them with the tools and support they need to overcome their challenges. We also acknowledge the important role that grandparents can play in supporting their grandchildren, and we encourage the adoption of a Granny or Grandpa within our community.
