"Visiting ED is always stressful experience. Everything was handled in timely manner, all the tests were done on the same day. The nurses and doctors were nice and professional."
"I recently presented at the ED at Midland Hospital for a head trauma. My GP recommended that I have a Head CT as the wounds were very deep, in fact you could see the skull bone, and he was very concerned about bleeding on the brain. The triage nurses were fantastic and had me taken down to Radiology were a female from that department turned me back and told the nurse accompanying me to put me through the other door. After 30 minutes I was taken to sit in the inside triage area where I sat for 6 hours awaiting a review of my wound. The doctor who I eventually saw, immediately asked if I had had a CT and finding I hadn’t immediately set up the appointment. Things moved more quickly after this 4 hours after the CT scan the would was stitched, 19 stitches and I left the hospital. My suggestion If you have a serious injury avoid Midland ED and drive to RPH or even Charles Gardiner. Coal face staff are friendly but very overworked. Mc Gowan says there is no problem. Put him in the ED and see what he has to say then"
