Firstly, we would like to inform you about the exciting news that FOGO (Food Organics and Garden Organics) is coming to the shire starting from 1 July 2024. Additionally, the new budget for 2023/2024 has been recently adopted by the council, and residents can expect to receive their annual Rates Notice soon.

If you're interested in waste and recycling practices, you'll be pleased to know that our 2023/2024 Waste and Recycling Guide is now available online. You can easily download it for valuable information. Furthermore, bulk verge collections have already commenced since 14 August 2023. Our hall has a rich history, as it was opened in 1970. In 1989, the Shire paid tribute to World War II and Vietnam veterans by installing an Honour Roll in the meeting area of the hall. Adjacent to the hall, you'll find a delightful children's playground, perfect for families to enjoy. Ample shady parking is also provided for your convenience.

Sawyers Valley Hall is an ideal venue for meetings and small functions, accommodating up to 50 people. However, please note that we do not allow high-risk events, including 16th, 18th, and 21st birthday parties.

Parking is available to the side of the venue in the unmarked gravel area. We have ensured accessibility by providing a ramp into the venue and to the adjacent oval.

When it comes to rates, we have different categories to suit various needs. Community rates are applicable to groups or individuals who undertake activities that do not generate personal profit and are either an incorporated body or a recognized not-for-profit group. On the other hand, commercial rates apply to groups or individuals who generate income for personal payment or profit, as well as State/Federal Government Agencies. If you're planning a function, we offer function rates that cover up to six hours of hire, with additional hours charged at the applicable hourly rate. Please note that all bookings incur an administration fee of $8.90.
