"In all respects, from doctors, highly capable and caring nurses, and receptionists, the care at Bedford Family Practice is amazing. I have complex chronic medical issues and the care I have received from Dr Katherine Vanopolus has been exceptional throughout very challenging times. Dr Min and Dr Son are also excellent doctors. The onsite pathology service is most professionally run and convenient. This practice has earned the highest professional rating any GP can have in Australia, and truly lives up to its name, Bedford FAMILY Practice. As a patient I feel the middle name of the practise - "Family" says it all! I recommend this excellent medical practice with great confidence."
"I relocated a while ago and had to change doctors and was looking for a western Vietnamese doctor and stumbled upon Bedford Family Prac. Their clinic is very clean, their staff and doctors are always pleasant. Would highly recommend."
"Unprofessional money making racket. 5 minute return appointments charged at full price, all for results that, by the time you get them, are no longer relevant."
"I feel so fortunate we found this medical practice. Friendly, helpful receptionists and nurse, and the doctors are first class. I've never been to a GP who made my toddler (and myself) feel so at ease. I highly recommend this centre."
"I have been incredibly disappointed by the service from this practice. I fractured my foot and this was the only GP I could get an appointment with on the weekend. The appointment ran 30mins late and lasted about 5mins. I found Doctor Nguyen did not address all of my concerns eg I was in significant pain and found out after my X-ray later that day that I had fractured my foot. I was provided with no management advice other "keep off it for a few weeks" with no specific time frame or treatment advice. As it was the weekend the radiology clinic I was referred to was only open for another 30mins so I raced there and was told that he had given me a blank referral form as the doctors practice was closing soon that day I was rushed to call them to get the referral faxed through. I was only told by the radiographer after my X-ray that I had fractured my foot. When I attempted to call the practice on Monday the receptionist was incredibly rude when I asked to be contacted by Doctor Nguyen as I was moving up north and would not have access to a GP. She informed me that It was not possible to receive results over the phone and that I had to come in for a consult. I explained to her that I had already received my results from the radiographer and was just looking for conservative management advice as I could not access a doctor in the location I was moving to as I could not attend an appointment at the practice as I was a 5 hour drive away. She was very rude and abrupt and said it was not possible and I needed to book an appointment. Later that day I received a call from Doctor Nguyen personally telling me that he had looked at my X-ray and he gave me some conservative management advice over the phone and referred me to an orthopaedic surgeon for a second opinion. I had difficulty arranging an appointment at a time that I would be in perth and upon calling them back to be referred to a different location so I could get an appointment in a reasonable time frame (within the next month) I was told that I needed to go and see my regular GP for yet another appointment and restart this whole process. Why I must do this when I have already completed this process and only need my referral moved to an appropriate location I am unsure. Overall I am very disgruntled with this outcome and practice. I myself as a medical professional have good insight into what the appropriate standard of care for this situation should be and am lucky to have the background knowledge to fill in gaps of care for my injury however I fear how someone without this level of knowledge would fair in this situation. The practice does not know that I have this background knowledge and this has not played into how they have managed my case. I am incredibly disappointed with the level of care I have received from all staff who I have come into contact with and would not recommend this practice to anyone."
