About the Business
Welcome to Parkerville Primary School, a renowned establishment located at 16 Parker Road in the beautiful suburb of Parkerville, Australia. As a primary school, we are dedicated to providing a quality education to the families of the Hills region, and we have been doing so since our establishment in 1899.
At Parkerville Primary School, we firmly believe that every child has the potential to achieve great things. Therefore, we strive to create inclusive learning environments that cater to the unique abilities and needs of each student. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to nurturing the growth and development of every child, ensuring they reach their full potential.
One of our core values is effective communication with parents and the wider school community. We continuously work on improving our communication strategies and keeping parents informed about the latest developments and events at the school. We understand the importance of parental involvement in a child's education, and we encourage active participation in school activities and decision-making processes.
We are proud to be a local area intake school, prioritizing students residing within our intake area. To determine if you fall within our boundary, you can search for Parkerville Primary School on the Department of Education Schools Online. Please note that we do not provide maps of our boundary area.
If you are considering enrolling your child in our school, we are currently accepting applications for Kindy 2024. The application deadline is Friday, July 21, 2023. We encourage interested families to submit their applications promptly to secure a place for their child.
In addition to our academic focus, we also believe in promoting physical fitness and fostering a sense of community. Our annual HECSSA Lightning Carnival allows students from years 4-6 to participate in various sports, including football, netball, hockey, soccer, and basketball, competing against other schools.
To support our school and raise funds, our fantastic Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) have organized a Quiz Night on Saturday, May 27. The event will be held at the Mundaring Sporting Club, and doors open at 6.00pm. It promises to be a fun-filled evening for the entire community.
Furthermore, our Faction Cross Country Carnival is scheduled for Friday, June 23, weather permitting (with a backup day the following Wednesday). We encourage all students to participate in this event, promoting physical activity and healthy competition.
Surrounded by the serene Jarrah forests that are synonymous with the Perth Hills area, Parkerville Primary School offers a tranquil and picturesque learning environment for your child. From humble beginnings as a one-roomed building in the heart of Parkerville, we have grown and relocated to our current location in 1962, providing generations of families with a quality education for over a century.

"My children spent over 5 years at this beautiful, small primary school, nestled in natural bush surrounds in Perth hills. I served on the school board for 3 years of that time and got to see the effort and dedication of many of the teachers. We are all sadly disappointed that Parkerville didn't carry on into high school years, but incredibly grateful for the time we did have. I can not rate this school highly enough."
"Parkerville Primary School is the best school in the hills. At Parkerville they let the children build cubbies is the bush. They have also started up a school news called Parkerville Primary News or PPN. I love all the staff and my teacher Ms Lynda Kerr.
