"Nice atmosphere, but very underwhelming whisky selection. Most of the bottles of whisky were 90% empty, which means a lot of oxygenation of the whisky which isn't great for taste. Hugh hopes, but unfortunately not a great experience. Have since lowered the star rating to a 1 for their reply that reflects the service of the place."

"We had a great time. The staff were super friendly and made us a couple of excellent cocktails. Recommend. You’ll need to text when you arrive as the door is locked. Don’t mistake the place next door for this hidden gem. If there are bright lights and a bouncer, you’re at the wrong spot."

"Sadly we're not far off from the previous review. What a disappointing experience myself and my partner just had attending Lockwood bar. Usually our favourite go to whisky bar (albeit few and far between since having babies). The greeting was pleasant enough, but the bar service was mediocre at best. Used to a friendly chat and a wide range of whiskeys, we were greeted with an almost empty back wall with a handful of Jack Daniels and an almost empty handful of others. Needless to say we left pretty promptly. Such a shame to see this place a shadow of itself."

"I haven't ever felt compelled to leave a negative review for a business but it was quite a strange first experience here. Heard good things about the bar so headed in with friends for a low key drink. Nice lighting, alright tunes, decent drink selection, but the staff were awfully rude and unwelcoming. The girl who greeted us at the door treated us as if we were interrupting something. Another girl served us while scowling the whole time. A guy who looked like he was maybe the manager stood at the side of the bar the whole time looking bothered at customers. The bar girl was staring at us giving us the evil eye once we had sat down. We watched a few different customers come & go over the time we were there & the staff were uninterested/unwelcoming the entire time, most people left pretty quickly. It felt as if they wanted to close the bar but couldn't & so every patron was a bother to them. It was fairly early in the evening might I add, they are advertised as open until midnight. Yeah, we get it, working in hospo on a Saturday night can suck but treating friendly people coming in to your venue so plainstakingly rudely will kill your business. Judging by the owners responses on some of the reviews here it probably won't take long for that to happen. Best spend your money elsewhere & support a business with better morals."

"The place is nice and the staff really friendly. We enjoyed some cocktails, the Bar tender asked us for our favorites spirits and flavors. They don’t have a cocktail menu but the have some specials. The bar is located in Burleigh area, it’s a good neighborhood. Many bars, restaurants and shops around the area. They don’t accept bookings, at the beginning was difficult to find the bar because it’s located behind Gold Coast Hwy, in the lane way behind Laneway. Good place to enjoy very good cocktails."
