About the Business
Welcome to Treetops Montessori School, located at 12 Beenong Road in the beautiful suburb of Darlington, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our school is dedicated to providing a dynamic and inquiry-based education that empowers each individual student to reach their unique potential within a natural and respectful setting.
At Treetops, we place a strong emphasis on valuing each child as a learner who is at the center of the learning process. As a community, our goal is to facilitate the best possible educational outcomes by shaping our programs to meet the individual needs of our students.
Situated in the incredible environment of Darlington, nestled in the hills east of Perth, Treetops offers a nurturing and harmonious setting for students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Year 12. We embody the concept of being culturally Montessori in our operations and proudly identify as being 'Montessori inspired'.
The Montessori method has a long-standing reputation worldwide and integrates seamlessly with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) offered at Treetops. Since 2007, we have been providing the IBDP, making us the only accredited Year 11 and 12 provider in the Eastern Perth Hills region and one of the few schools in Western Australia to achieve this standard.
By combining the Montessori and International Baccalaureate philosophies, Treetops offers a unique approach to secondary education. Our non-comparative and non-competitive environment fosters the development of each student as an individual, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Starting in 2021, Treetops is also offering Year 11 and 12 students the WACE General Studies program as an alternative option to the IBDP. This career-focused, practical pathway provides students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for their future endeavors.
With exceptional teachers and staff, Treetops School prides itself on providing an outstanding learning environment. We believe in the holistic development of the whole child, focusing not just on academics but also on nurturing curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
We invite parents to schedule an individual tour of Treetops, where we can discuss how our unique approach to education can benefit your child. Our school delivers the WA curriculum in a Montessori-inspired environment from Early Years through to Year 10, and offers the IBDP curriculum for Years 11 and 12.
At Treetops Montessori School, we believe that a challenging and broad academic environment, combined with a focus on intellectual inquiry and critical thinking, will stimulate curiosity and creativity throughout a student's life. Join us at Treetops and let us help your child make a world of difference.

"What the school preaches and what gets applied in the Children's House are very different from one and another in our experience."
"If you're like me and thought this school would be the best place for your child to learn and grow, then please learn from my mistake and understand this is the very worst place for any child who does not fit in their box. My son hasn't been the same since starting here. We chose to pull him out after only 7 hours in the children's house, when it was very politically suggested that the school wasn't the right fit for him. No effort was made on their part to help his transition to schooling. The choice words used and the blame that was placed on him was the cherry on top for us. Please reconsider if you think this school actually practices what they preach."
"This is a wonderful school. My children went there for 3 years and it was magical. The teaching staff is of a high standard and there is a close community here. It broke our hearts to move our children but we did so because we just weren’t used to Hills culture. The bush walking also made us nervous but it is also something that many really love. The education itself cannot be faulted and each child is known by every teacher. My children still talk about this school with fondness. This is a special kind of education that will give your child a thirst for knowledge ever after."
"I went here when I was little. Good school"
