We take pride in providing wholesome, nutritionally balanced, home-cooked meals prepared daily in our kindy kitchen. The highest rating achievable, 'Exceeding National Quality Standard,' has been awarded to our centre under the National Quality Standard, ensuring that your child receives the highest quality care and education.
As a family-oriented centre, we understand the importance of community and strive to be an integral part of the surrounding area. Benowa Early Learning Centre is privately owned by our dedicated Nominated Supervisor, Kylie Alldridge, and Rebecca Tapper, the daughter of Jennifer Balson, who opened the centre over 20 years ago. With a long-standing commitment to excellence, Kylie has been with us since the beginning.
Our team of educators is highly qualified, with senior educators holding a Bachelor of Teaching, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma. Other educators either have their Certificate III or are currently studying. In addition, children have access to two early childhood educators and four additional educators studying for their Bachelor of Education. We believe that higher qualification levels and standards of training lead to improved learning environments and better outcomes for children.

"We love BELC! Two generations have been through this centre. Myself and my siblings all went to BELC, my brother was even there on the very first day that it opened in the 90s. I now send my daughter here and I can't imagine ever sending my kids anywhere else. The staff are always so lovely and welcoming and they just shower my daughter with love and affection. She loves going to kindy and especially loves her teacher "Miss La La" she is always running around asking for her. The office staff are so accomodating and have always been understanding when we have needed to switch days or have time off. Great food, great atmosphere, great thought and detail put into learning activities for the children and great communication! We adore this centre and highly recommend it to anyone considering it :)"
"My nephew attended this beautiful centre and I found it to be clean and the staff incredibly friendly. The kindy program prepared my nephew for school and he enjoyed his time at the kindy so much that now he attends there for vacation care."
"Not as good as it used to be, little attention to detail and as a parent I felt like they didn't listen to me. Sent my child with special sunscreen and wipes as she would develop a rash. I was then told she 'helped herself to a wipe and cleaned her face' to which I then had to fill out an incident form as she had a red face. The following day I realised the sunscreen was never even opened as it still had a seal. When I mentioned this, they followed up with a phone call trying to reassure me that the correct sunscreen had been used, once again dismissing what I had already mentioned about it still having the seal on it. Another thing was the centre changed to Plant- Based food for every child - without telling parents (apart from the menu in which no one really reads). We then all had to send an email stating that 'no we actually want our child eating an animal protein diet again'. Also they seem to have had a lot of staff changes as well so it's hard to keep up with who's who. Just few things. Shame they used to be great,"
"Amazing centre! I was recommended to enrol my boys here by one of my good friends whose sons also went here. Kylie and her staff are so friendly and caring. It has such a homely atmosphere. Always so clean. Menus changed weekly and are all organic. Vacation care activities and excursions were fun too. My boys attended for about 3 years and we were sad to leave when they started school! They always mention it when we drive past the street! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a daycare centre in the Benowa / Southport area."
