About the Business
Welcome to Blanche Point, a captivating institution located in the City of Onkaparinga, South Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and tourist attraction, Blanche Point offers a unique and enriching experience for visitors of all ages.
At Blanche Point, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community and supporting local initiatives. This summer, community groups have the opportunity to generate income by collecting beach ramp fees, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the area.
Onkaparinga is not only known for its stunning natural beauty but also for its exceptional athletes. From BMX and para athletics world championships to the AFL and FIFA Women's World Cup, Onkaparinga's athletes have made their mark on the global stage, inspiring both locals and visitors alike.
We are particularly proud to support the Surf Life Saving's newest Nippers program, which offers local First Nations children the chance to take to the water and learn valuable lifesaving skills. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.
Blanche Point is also dedicated to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The council's program to reduce building emissions has been recognized nationally, with an upcoming award announcement on September 7th. We understand the importance of preserving our natural resources for future generations.
In line with our commitment to community development, we are excited to announce a $1.5 million expansion of our popular center. This expansion will provide a range of new opportunities for the community, further enhancing the experiences and services we offer.
Furthermore, we are actively involved in addressing social issues such as food insecurity. Through a new survey, we aim to gain a better understanding of rising costs and access to quality food, enabling us to take effective steps in tackling this challenge alongside other southern councils.
For art enthusiasts, the South Australian Living Artists Festival in Onkaparinga is a must-visit event. Taking place from 1st to 31st August, this festival showcases the incredible talent of local artists and offers a diverse range of artistic experiences to enjoy.
Blanche Point is proud to be a part of the FIFA Women's World Cup, where the Matildas are inspiring a new generation of soccer players and fans. We are delighted to witness the positive impact of this global event on our local community.
Additionally, we value community input and participation. The state government is seeking community views on a section of Main South Road at Old Noarlunga and Seaford Heights, giving residents an opportunity to have their voices heard and contribute to the decision-making process.
Exciting news awaits at Blanche Point, as we are upgrading Kings Court Reserve in Onkaparinga Heights. This upgrade aims to enhance aesthetics, stormwater management, and plant biodiversity, creating new habitats with complementary plantings. We are committed to preserving and enhancing our natural surroundings.
Blanche Point is also dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing. We offer various courses and workshops, such as the Standard Mental Health First Aid® course, which equips adults with the skills and knowledge to support those experiencing mental health problems or crises.
Whether you're interested in artificial intelligence, crafting, or embracing your creativity, Blanche Point has something for everyone. Our diverse range of programs and activities provide a friendly and relaxed environment for individuals to explore new skills and practices.
As an institution, Blanche Point acknowledges and respects the traditional owners and custodians of the land, the Kaurna Nation, and their ongoing connection to the area. We pay homage to the wisdom and contributions of Elders past and present.
We invite you to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of experiences and opportunities offered at Blanche Point. Whether you're a local resident or a curious visitor, there is something here to captivate and inspire you. Come and discover the magic of Blanche Point today.

"Beautiful and serene place. Very clean area with ample parking. We can even sit on the big rocks surrounding the carpark. This place is close by to Port Willunga."
"Great view for looking out. Scenery blending dunes and ocean was quite breathtaking. Also enjoyed the quiet atmosphere with only wind and waves washing on the sand. Very relaxing. Be aware of the signs mentioning not to go off trails…saw people ignoring the signs and went out of the fencing areas unfortunately."
"Stunning combination of altitude, natural erosion, and nature. Magnificent at sunset, I saw many couples taking a picnic rug and dinner to watch the sunset with dinner. Definately go there for a sticky beak of you're in the area or it is on your way to where you're going."
"Blanche Point - just south west of Maslin's Beach is one of the best kept secrets of Adelaide. I flew my drone there recently on a sunny, but cold spring day, and the car park there was all but deserted except for a couple of surfer dudes who looked like they had an awesome time. If you make your way down the steps to the beach, you will be rewarded with a magnificent vista of caves and rock slides, crystal clear waters, surf, and an endless horizon to the west. The drone gave me a unique perspective, but it is all there waiting for you to experience at ground level too. Don't forget to also check out the nearby McLaren Vale wineries while you are there!"
