"Who keeps voting this bank as one of the best/most popular in Australia exactly? Themselves? Do not be fooled by all their signs warning you of scams: when you do actually report being subject to a scam all they do is drag their feet, make you wait over a month to tell you ‘well, actually, we can’t do anything about it’ and do absolutely nothing about getting your money back, even when they have the scammer’s full bank details: account number, BSB, everything. It’s all to make it SEEM as though they care. Also they have this habit of not sending you out replacement cards when you’re in the final month before the card expires. You ALWAYS have to chase this up yourself and this often leads to problems with payments using your card as businesses sometimes knock it back due to this. Bad customer service."
"I wouldn’t even rate this bank 1 star, the customer service in the branch is poor and unprofessional. Everyone who talks to customers are rude, they have no idea what they’re doing and judge people who walk into the branch. No customer service skills, compassion or common sense. Like the two ladies that are over 50 are so rude and snobby and should retire, would you speak to your mum like the way you do to your customers?"
"Their ATM jammed while I was retrieving money, I rang the office and received a "so sorry, not our problem" response from an international call center. Had no money or card to get home and had to walk 10 km in the rain to get home to my kids. Find a more sympathetic branch for your money."
"Tip: Always flatten your notes and count your money at this bank! Excellent customer service, but will always ask you to flatten your notes, which get annoying over time. I also trust the staff there to count my money, but they don't trust me whenever I deposit anything, especially when it comes to an error depositing using their ATM, they will ask and pressure me how much I tried to deposit and I don't know, I only know the notes were folded and sorted by value - surely that is unique enough to get my notes back! It wasn't enough for them but they gave up and gave me a warning. That gave me such a hassle when I just wanted to deposit notes and get on with my life!"
