"Amazing collection. Been meaning to go in for months. Was happily surprised by the offering. Ended up coming home with some Alannah Hill pieces for only $35 ea. Total steal. May go back for the Tony Bianco boots. It would also def be my first stop for a ball gown or formal dress."
"Two handbags deposited: two returned unsold with one dirty and badly damaged (which I bought new and had never used) the other with noticeable damage/misuse. Avoid Merry-go-round; the damage my items received while in Meredith’s care is out with normal handling. It would seem the lesson learned here would be, let the Seller beware! "On arriving at the shop Meredith was attending to a young lady; she spoke with the customer for a couple of minutes but then turned to me and told me she would get the bags. She went to the back of the shop and brought back both bags minus the dust protectors. I politely asked if she had them and once again she went to the back of shop to see if she could locate them. Whilst waiting I inspected the larger of the two bags and noticed that one of the handles had been partially ripped from the side. This would have taken some force possibly by the handle having been caught on something causing the stitching to come apart. Meredith came back without the dust protectors we had supplied and I pointed out the damage that had been done. At this point she rather brusquely told me that she couldn’t be held responsible for damage that had happened at the shop and additionally I had signed a form stating that I had understood this. This was true, I had signed a disclaimer but even so I was disappointed that a bag that had been in perfect condition had been badly damaged. At this point the pitch in her voice lifted and I was told that the bag was not in perfect condition when it was brought in. As a matter of semantics this was also true – the bag had been used but to all intents and purposes it was in a condition that was of high enough quality and integrity to be sold. In fact, the form I had signed which said no responsibility could be taken for damage or theft also states that articles must be cleaned, pressed and in excellent condition. I assume this criteria is applied to all other goods accepted for sale at the shop otherwise I would have been told that they could not be accepted. During this time the young lady had left the shop. I asked Meredith if she would have been happy to receive goods she had brought in returned in said condition and she told me no, however, I had signed the form stating she couldn’t take responsibility for said damage. At this point and with mounting annoyance she told me the damage was unfortunate, there was nothing she could do and indeed she had just lost paying customers as a result of her having spoken to me! I didn’t understand that point – the young lady had left of her own accord and I had been waiting patiently my turn to be served. At this point I calmly pointed out that her tone was becoming aggressive and that we also had lost the original branded dust covers, which potential customers would no doubt prefer to have. At this point I was asked to leave contact details and was told that I would be contacted when the lost items had been found. When I returned home I also looked at the second bag and was horrified to see the state of the handles that appear to have been badly abraded. Now I didn’t see this damage when speaking to Meredith so obviously she cannot make comment but in summary I’m disappointed by the whole experience, the way that it was dealt with and the fact that we now have two damaged items without the original dust protectors.""
