About the Business
Welcome to MercyCare Early Learning Centre Bedford, a renowned establishment located at Salisbury Street, 149-159 in Bedford, Australia. Our centre is not just a child care facility, but a point of interest where children can thrive and grow in a nurturing environment.
One of the standout features of our Bedford Early Learning Centre is the open grassed spaces that allow children to run and enjoy themselves freely. Our experienced educators create opportunities for children to become successful and capable learners, setting us apart from other centres.
Conveniently situated next to St Peter’s Primary School, our former school building provides ample space both inside and out. The expansive oval offers children the freedom to play, learn, and develop their motor skills. We also have a strong focus on environmental sustainability, with vegetable gardens and fruit trees that allow children to learn about sustainability up close.
At MercyCare Bedford Early Learning Centre, each age group has its own spacious play area tailored to their specific needs. This allows our highly qualified and experienced educational team to focus on age-specific developmental goals. We provide a flexible, responsive, and engaging learning environment that is tailored to each child's individual needs.
Our consistent team of educators ensures that children feel safe and comfortable in their home away from home. This is especially important for children who are new to child care and early learning centres. We take pride in providing a safe and secure setting where families feel valued and involved.
Don't just take our word for it, here are some testimonials from satisfied parents:
"I cannot recommend this centre enough. The centre is run professionally, and they have been flexible and helpful when our work schedules have changed at the last minute. It also has beautiful grounds. A big thank you to the kind staff at the centre."
"We have been highly impressed with every aspect of the care our children have received at MercyCare Bedford. Each and every one of the carers has been deeply involved, knowledgeable, and caring about the development of our children. In the Kindy program, the carers focus on early years learning, which has helped lay the foundations of phonics, vocabulary, and numeracy learning. Every aspect of our girls' well-being has been superbly supported at this beautiful, warm, and well-run centre."
In addition to providing quality care, we also organize various events and activities to enhance children's learning experiences. From celebrating Father's Day and Children's Book Week to promoting Aboriginal history and culture during NAIDOC week, we strive to create a rich and diverse environment for children to thrive.
MercyCare acknowledges the Aboriginal people as the original owners of this land on which we provide our services. We pay respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We value the oldest continuing culture in the world and recognize their unique connection to land, water, and community.

"I cannot recommend this centre enough. We had our first daughter in there in 2015, moved to QLD for 2.5 years, then upon knowing we were coming back in 2018 immediately booked in early. The centre is run professionally, we are informed if any subsidy issues, they are flexible and have helped us out a number of times when our work schedules have changed at the last minute (teacher and engineer). It also has beautiful grounds. A big thank you to the kind staff at the centre."
"I would like to thanks all the staff of Mercy Care for making my daughter more comfortable within a short period. They are very friendly and supportive. My daughter loved this center very much and she is enjoying it a lot."
"We have been highly impressed with every aspect of the care our children have received at MercyCare Bedford since 2015. Each and every one of the carers has been deeply involved, knowledgeable and caring about the development of our children, with many of them having been there for 5 years +. They communicate proactively about key topics everyday - behaviour, eating, naps, social interaction and toileting. Best of all, you are always welcomed with a warm smile and greeting, and lots of help if kids get a bit clingy. In the Kindy program, the carers focus on early years learning, which has helped lay the foundations of phonics, vocabulary and numeracy learning - the kids have even come home singing in French and Portuguese! The administrative and managerial aspects of the Centre are also spot on. They have supported us to navigate the somewhat complex world of Centrelink, and contacted us almost immediately when our CCS dropped out (we've had other centres where NO contact was made in this regard). Every aspect of our girls well-being has been superbly supported at this beautiful, warm and well-run centre. Everyday, I can see different ways that the staff enjoy what they do, collaborate with each other and love the children in their charge."
"This childcare centre is going down since some of the good staffs has left and moved to other workplaces. Some of new staffs are not really passion with their carriers, they are doing the job just like because it is the job, no friendly welcoming and smiling. The meals are average and look boring, sometimes there is no fruits provided for the kids!!!! The management of this centre should be improved."
