"Aldi have set up a faulty product warrantee service which is specially designed to confuse and obstruct any meaningful resolution 1. There is no simple way to contact Aldi no phone number that answers other than to direct you to online enquiries 2. Their complaints system is worse than Centrelink running you rounds in circles 3. Claims for electrical goods are directed to a third party Active spares   Who then require a complicated application form with video evidence of fault then insist that faulty item be returned to them in NSW for testing at the purchasers cost. 4. Faulty items as part of a kit will not be replaced and the whole kit of tools must be returned to Aldi for refund with copy of original receipt even though this maybe 5 years as their warrantee states Purchased power tool kit with 2 batteries one battery failed contacted action spares for refund replacement warrantee response was unacceptable with email ping pong back and forth requiring postage of battery and charger to nsw at my expense which is unacceptable ( this would mean entire kit now would be useless .I visited store to be told the entire kit needed to be returned for a refund not just the battery . I have now lodged a complaint with consumer affairs as the process for obtaining a replacement battery or refund is designed to frustrate and waste my time without resolving the issue Standard post only - package purchases and express post will not be refunded. Send to: Action Spares 2/24 Anderson Road Smeaton Grange NSW 2567 The above requirement makes the item purchased totally useless until warrantee is honoured or alternatively to be left with no batteries or charger permanently and out of pocket ( fair practice i do not think so Aldi is always full of apologies, I think their staff have been trained to be passive aggressive apologise but do not resolve or honour claims for faulty or not fit for purpose goods, referring customers to third parties or finding other excuses for not replacing items or offering refunds . My advice avoid buying Aldi special buys products the pain is not worth any perceived bargain buying. Be warned and aware Aldi are very difficult to deal with and have set up a system to shield them from legitimate contact no phone contact and a confusing and rabbit hole style contact process that will not work unless you input exact and perfect data to their system ( computer says NO) Items returned to store but they could not find purchase receipt on their system from my card statement ."

"Good parking. Well organised Aldi but perhaps a little smaller so stock levels were low for some of catalogue items but this might be due to the day of our visit. We are great fans of Aldi which delivers good value if you can avoid being sucked into unplanned purchases, but once you get used to their different business model you can make some great household savings."
