"save your money and go to highq"
"The teachers are university students and had absolutely no clue what the students progress was. Could not even recognise my child as one of the students and did now know the progress when asked. You pretty much just paid for the materials - and will have to teach your own children based on the materials. This is also based on the experience of the parents I talked to - they all spent their time to go through the materials with their children, which defeated the purpose of sending their children to these Nortshore classes and paid $$$."
"The classes are clean & neat. Teachers are very knowledgeable & patient in class. The staff are very helpful and the kids level/ability are diagnosed-evaluated before parents are advised to register their kids for the appropriate level. There are also rewards/awards to keep the students motivated and a report will be given to parents every term. If there is an issue, Mr Mui is happy to help resolve problems & will feedback to the teacher if there are areas to improve/adjust. The science and mathematics materials tend to be (slightly) more advance/challenging than standard Australian curriculum since it aims to be on par with the top Asian states like Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, etc. As such, lessons/homework can become very challenging if the child can't keep up. If so, it's best to inform the manager (Mr Mui) or the teacher as soon as possible so that the issue can be resolve quickly. Will be awesome when they incorporate ICT & 5G system in their classes."
"okay"
"First time for my 5 year old to attend the class in Lynwood as he normally attends the one at rossmoyne shs. He came out crying after having his English tuition which has never happened at the other place. He kept saying he wants to go back to the old tuition place. Later my husband spoke to his English teacher to find out that he is "too slow for her pace". And she must have expressed that to him to make him feel bad about himself so he ran out of his class crying. She was not apologetic as to what happened to my son and kept saying he is too slow and he also got only 12/16 for his spelling which showed he is too slow for her pace. The principle, Mr Miu, couldn't care less for the whole situition after we explained to him. No sympathy from him. All he said was we shouldn't have the make up class (meaning we just have to miss out as we can't make it). For him to have a make up class, there has to be an application made and approved by this man, Mr Miu. So my question is why accept the application for make up class, then pay a fee for the class swap, only to tell me he shouldn't have done it? The English teacher also teaches at other centre so we will try and make sure with northshore that our children will never be put in her class as we don't need a teacher that has no compassion for her student. If I could give no stars I would. Avoid Mr Miu, avoid Northshore Lynwood, avoid Mrs Champion... unless you don't mind being trivialized like a commodity and you care less if your child is bullied."
