"DONT DO IT!!! This would have to be the worst experience dealing with a Company! Design consultant great but that's it!! Ordered kitchen in start of July was told it would be 11 weeks from start to finish and it's now Dec and only receiving part of the kitchen only communication was a text message, after confirming that kitchen was being delivered nothing turned up. Forever chasing but no one is able to take calls and no returns phone calls. So many other things went wrong through the 5 MONTH ordeal. I am now hoping that we receive the correct kitchen but not holding my breath. TERRIBLE!!!!!"
"Terrible services and communication! The 8 to 12 weeks turnaround have been going for 9 months and they still have not been able to finish the work. What's more frustrating is they won't answer your questions on the portal (the "preferred communication method") and always reply back with generic response. The most upsetting thing is they have never officially apologies for the delays or taken responsibility for the wrong stuff that are ordered or delays in installation. Wouldn't even give them 1 star at this stage as it's been so frustrating! Would not recommend them to anyone at all."
"Well everybody, experienced started well with the initial consultation and the outline of what they could potentially deliver. From here went downhill very quickly once we understood Kinsman is a flat pack company!!! Install was promised to begin March 2022 and finished in 3 weeks..... Here my wife and I are now in late Sept and the job still isn't complete and now end in sight! Many areas damaged from transport and from a poor quality install contractor!!! This contractor worst of all after breaking parts and not finalising the install then badgered us for full payment? Kinsman State Manager contacted for support and he was very much "we'll arrange somereplacement parts" but that's where Kinsman's support stopped...... Well what can I say people but just stay away, your money will be better spent elsewhere with other supplier / installers Brenton Kitto"
"Stay away! They are not what they represent on the Block! And warning, Kinsman will make you pay in full for the robes before delivery. Its the worst $15,000 I've spent. They came to install the robes in April this year. Its now August and they have still not finished installing our wardrobes! Due to poor quality control at their warehouse they never sent all of the parts for the robes. The contractor installers got as far as they could but we now have 3 unfinished robes. Communication is adhoc and inconsistent. I have reached out via the formal channel and even escalated to their supplied management channel and they still havent completed the install. I now havent heard anything for 5 weeks. For the part of the robes that have been installed the drawers are also out of line and are rubbing against the shell and robe doors that dont sit flat. This will be raised with the dept of Consumer and Business Affairs for review into their business practices. Kinsman, if you are reading this (as opposed to my other communications) my account will be under 'Calvert' if you want to attempt to turn this around."
"Be aware! So many issues with this company. They all arise from the fact that they sub-contract every single work they do so there's no responsibility and accountability when things go wrong. Firstly, the designer you will meet for the kitchen (laundry for us) design is a contractor. They'll say anything and make promises that cannot be kept so you sign the document and get payment. For us, they promised delivery in 6 weeks, but it actually took about 12 weeks. Secondly, the delivery was a mess. They gave us a date when it'll be delivered, so I took the day off work to be at home. They didn't deliver. Called head office and they didn't know what was happening with the delivery, after waiting on hold, advised will be delivered the following day. Second day goes by without any delivery. Another call to head office, another hour wait for the phone to be answered. Again promised a time but no delivery. Finally did have it delivered couple of days later, with head office blaming the delivery company, and delivery company blaming head office. No accountability and I'm the one that had to take three days off to just sit around and wait. Thirdly, the install was done by a sub contracted installer and sub-sub contracted tradies. Install took 10 days longer than promised by designer, head office and installer. They all blame each other again about the issues. On top of that the walls aren't plastered properly, it's not smooth and there's marks left on the wall, the tiling wasn't done straight and not lined up properly. Again, been passed around one person to the next, issues not resolved. To top it all off, the 4 of the cabinet doors arrived damaged. They replaced one of the doors but I'm still waiting to hear back from installer (who has since left the company because they've been screwing him over with extra work and blackmailing him by not paying for his work), head office about when the three doors will arrive and when it will get installed. So my laundry is incomplete. So at the end of the day, they all promise the world so that you sign up, but once you've paid, no one takes any responsibility anymore. You're stuck with incomplete or damaged cabinetry. I don't imagine I'll have any luck claiming the 7 year warranty. I must say that their designs are quite nice and that's what drove us to kinsman in the first place but personally I would stay away and save yourself the trouble."
