Welcome to Indigo Montessori Mt. Hawthorn, located at 1 Barney Street, Mount Hawthorn, Australia. My name is Dani and I have been a part of this wonderful institution since 2016. Starting as an assistant, I quickly fell in love with the center, the families, and the Montessori approach.

At Indigo Montessori, we believe that early education is crucial for a child's future learning. We provide a safe and secure environment where children are encouraged to explore, observe, and experiment with engaging experiences. Our dedicated outdoor area wraps around the back of our building, offering a large natural play space for children of all ages.

One unique aspect of our center is our belief in mixing different age groups together outside. We believe that children can learn from and support each other's development. It also allows siblings from different rooms to spend quality time together during the day.

In our outdoor area, you will also find our center pets, including chickens. These chickens are a part of our Montessori family, and the children love running alongside them in our garden, taking care of them, and collecting their eggs. We prioritize sustainability and respect for the environment, and the idea of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycling" is integrated into our center's beliefs and daily routines.

To further enhance the learning experience, we have our very own greenhouse outside. This provides a hands-on opportunity for children to learn about agriculture, growth, foods, healthy living, fitness, and nutrition.

We are proud to have our own onsite cook who prepares healthy and nutritional meals for the children. Our menu is additive and preservative aware, and we can accommodate specific dietary requirements.
