Welcome to SAMI Mobile Imaging Service, located at Bedford Park, Flinders Drive in Australia. As a state-wide establishment, we are dedicated to providing high-quality medical imaging services to residents across metropolitan Adelaide and various country locations.

Our on-road Mobile X-ray service is designed to bring convenience to residents of aged care facilities by eliminating the need for transportation to an emergency department. Operating from Monday to Friday, 09:00 am to 17:00 pm, our mobile service ensures that residents receive plain x-ray imaging services promptly and without any out of pocket expenses.

At SAMI, we aim to support clinically stable residents by offering imaging services within their residential care facility. By doing so, we reduce the need for transfers, wait times, and exposure to unfamiliar environments. This aligns with SA Health's commitment to alleviate pressure on emergency departments and the South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS), ultimately delivering care closer to home.

Our team consists of fully qualified and experienced Radiographers and enrolled Nurses who provide efficient and compassionate imaging solutions without disrupting the client's environment. Based out of the Flinders Medical Centre, our service ensures that images are reported on by SAMI radiologists in a timely manner through the SAMI Enterprise System for Medical Imaging (ESMI). These reports can be accessed by clinical staff involved in the resident's care through platforms such as ESMI PACS, Oacis, and Medinexus.

To refer patients to our Mobile Imaging Service, please complete the Mobile Imaging Request form (PDF 140KB). We strive to make the process as seamless as possible, allowing residents to receive the necessary imaging without any hassle or inconvenience.

In addition to our services, South Australia Medical Imaging (SAMI) is a statewide service that provides specialist, integrated multi-discipline medical imaging across public hospitals in SA. We also acknowledge and respect Aboriginal peoples as the state's first peoples and nations, recognizing them as Traditional Owners and occupants of land and waters in South Australia.
