"I'd like to commend H & R BLOCK and Bill Law at Hove in particular for his friendly, helpful and efficient processing of my recently deceased husband's tax return for the 2019/2020 financial year. Bill had looked after my husband's records and returns for a number of years and when my husband passed away I (his wife) was left to finalise all of his financial affairs. I was grateful that Bill could get all the information together, advise me and process the return on the same day. The return was submitted on the 8th Sept and a refund from the tax department was forwarded to the nominated bank account within 10 days. I have had similar experiences with H& R BLOCK whom I used to use before I left work in 2010. And now, as I will again be required to complete returns for myself I will not hesitate to contact Bill for the new tax year."

"Apart from being expensive ($124.00) it all seemed straightforward, needed a simple personal tax return for the last two years. however i was not informed I would be charged double until the accountant asked me to pay by card (I had not been expecting this and asked if it could be taken out of my tax return as I thought was the standard) she insisted I pay via card so that they could be assured the payment goes through to them, so now I'm facing not being able to pay rent this week, because H&R block only care about covering their expenses, at the expense of the customer."
