About the Business
Welcome to Victoria Riviere Counselling, located at Mile End, Fisher Place, 24 in beautiful Australia. Congratulations on taking the first step towards improving your overall health and mental wellbeing. Here, your journey to living an empowered and positive life begins.
Seeking support, especially for your mental health, can be challenging. You may not be able to see the problem or where it stems from, but deep down, you know that something isn't right. At Victoria Riviere Counselling, we aim to empower young teens and women to seek help early on and provide holistic support in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment. You'll be surprised at what we can unpack during our first session!
Our practice is a female-only zone, offering bespoke counselling services and general mental health support exclusively to teen girls and women. For your convenience, we provide a choice of in-person consultations in a relaxing and safe environment, or via Telehealth. We understand that sometimes you may not feel like leaving your couch or getting out of your pajamas, so we can speak from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Booking a consultation with a counsellor is a significant achievement, and we can't wait to hear your story. With over 12 years of experience in the industry, counselling plays a massive part in my life. I have counseled children at Headspace, taken on research and project roles, and currently work with kids in years 7-12 in a school setting.
As someone who values empathy, authenticity, and integrity, you can expect to feel supported and nurtured during your counselling session with me. Our conversations will be natural and non-judgmental, and you will leave each session with a belief that change is absolutely possible for you.
Speaking with a counsellor offers numerous benefits. It can improve your communication and interpersonal skills, decrease feelings of depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions, change self-defeating behaviors and habits, and increase your self-acceptance and self-esteem. Additionally, counselling can boost your confidence, decision-making skills, and help you manage stress effectively. It can also improve your problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, as well as help you recognize unhelpful thinking and find a greater sense of self-purpose.
With my extensive experience providing mental health and wellbeing services, you will benefit from my evidence-based therapeutic approach, which equips you with the tools to start living your best life. Working from a trauma-informed and strength-based perspective, our sessions will provide a sense of safety and hope.
At Victoria Riviere Counselling, I utilize three main counselling methods:
1. Cognitive behavioral therapy - This method helps you recognize how your thoughts are creating problems and empowers you to re-evaluate and change your thinking patterns.
2. Acceptance and commitment therapy - Using acceptance and mindfulness strategies, we focus on commitment and behavior change strategies to increase psychological flexibility.
3. Narrative therapy - This approach separates you from your problem, encouraging you to rely on your own skills to minimize problems.
I would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land on which I work and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I extend my respect to all Elders, men, women, young people, and children who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.
At Victoria Riviere Counselling, we are committed to embracing diversity and eliminating all forms of discrimination in the provision of our counselling services. We work with all people, irrespective of ethnicity, disability, physiological health, lifestyle choice, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
To book a consultation or for any inquiries, please reach out to me at [email protected] or call 0406 160 943. Your mental wellbeing matters, and I am here to support you on your journey to a happier and healthier life.

Vic’s depth of knowledge in the field is invaluable and a testament to her passion for mental health. She provides a safe space and is always willing to share advice to help make a difference in the lives of those she works with. Her flexible and authentic nature make you feel comfortable to explore and discover yourself both personally and professionally. Since working with Vic, she has allowed to me to feel confident in my abilities, set clear boundaries and work towards achievable goals to make positive changes in my life. If there’s one thing she can provide to all her clients it’s hope. Her empathetic nature makes you feel heard, understood and positive that, with her guidance you will become the best version of yourself. "I truly can't express how incredibly wonderful Victoria is! She is compassionate, kind-hearted and easy to talk to. She helped my teenage daughter navigate a really stressful time which in turn helped the whole family. Victoria listened to my concerns and addressed these with my daughter. This really helped the communication within the family and it helped us to help our daughter. I can't thank Victoria enough for giving my daughter the tools she needs to cope with difficult situations. My daughter thanks me at least once a week for finding Victoria and for taking her to counselling. I'm glad we found Victoria too!"
"I always look forward to my next session with Vic. Her approach allows you to feel comfortable to tackle those deeper and more vulnerable challenges in life. Having lived experience with Autism (ASD), Vic understands and accommodates my Autism, encouraging me to embrace my true self and build the tools I need to tackle my challenges. I am forever grateful that I found Vic. I have been able to make more healthy and positive changes in myself within a few months of seeing her than I would have with any other therapist. Highly recommend."
"Victoria has been a wonderful, caring and sympathetic ear for my daughter who has been struggling with certain life events. Her communication, support and being there for my daughter has provided her with a way of seeing that things do work out, things do get better. I cannot recommend Victoria highly enough. I am forever grateful for the hard work she has put in for me and my family. I have been blessed by our paths crossing."
