Reviews
"I've seen several shows here. Good revue and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed a pink gin & tonic while watching the show."
"Had a wonderful ecperienr areanging Eid Gala Dinner at Woodville TownHall."
"Road works out the front at present did make it a bit difficult to drive to find parking as we attended a Fringe event, inside the town hall was lovely Art Deco style (I think) finishes, the lighting/chandelier style was lovely, our show we attended was fun but a bit long? Plus the bar facilities while quick to serve was a "cash only" facility which was fine but we didn't know that prior to the show?"
"Great venue. The sound setup and the lighting was good. The view is obstructed I'm the first row on the top so avoid that and you will be fine"
"Went to see a friend perform at one of Choolala's Burlesque events held at this venue. Located on a busy road, this is a beautiful old building. The foyer and the lobby bring back memories of days gone by. As the seating space in front of the stage was fully occupied, the only available space was upstairs in the dress circle. There are some very comfortable lounges at the front but when using these the view of the stage is impeded due to the railings in front of you (another reviewer has also made note of this). Choosing a seat further on up seemed to be a much better option as it offered a more enhanced view of the stage. The ornate ceiling and the atmosphere of place takes you back in time. There were a few seats that were in 'dire straits' and in need of repair. As there were two shows on that evening, the theatre had to be vacated quickly so that patrons who were there for the next show could be seated. This seemed to be a smooth experience for the patrons which means that the design of the place is well thought out. Even though there were plenty of people milling around in the lobby, the exits were clearly marked and there was no jostling around. There is a car park at the rear of the building which is easily accessible via two side streets."
