Brendan O'Donnell, a renowned recorder player, is dedicated to bringing the beauty of early and contemporary music to audiences today. Brendan is a regular performer with Ensemble Galante and Adelaide Baroque, having participated in prestigious events such as the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Woodend Winter Arts Festival. He has also collaborated with Munich-based Ensemble Raccanto, performing in renowned locations like the Bach Museum in Leipzig and the Barocksaal in Benediktbauern Abbey. In 2019, Brendan was selected to present his solo program "Seeking Australia" at the European Recorder Players' Society conference in Bolzano, Italy.

Before pursuing a career in music, Brendan initially completed a degree in political science. He then dedicated himself to studying the recorder, first with Kamala Bain in New Zealand and later with Dorothee Oberlinger in Salzburg, where he obtained his master's degree in 2013.

In addition to his performances, Brendan has been teaching the recorder for almost 20 years. With experience teaching beginners through to advanced students at university level, he provides private lessons in both English and German.
